How does this movie even fit in the timeline? It obviously doesn’t fit in the manga since the Moro and Granola Sagas were skipped, but the anime also doesn’t work: No KKx20/SSJBE, Pan can’t fly despite consistently doing so in the anime, etc. So how is this supposed to work?

It follows the continuity of AT's rough draft imo. No Jiren who's hundreds of times stronger than regular Blue like the anime, no Ginyu-Tagoma, no flying Pan with Pilaf crew filler, no Copy-Vegeta, no Kaio-ken Blue and SSJBE.

I think that DBS Hero is like a kind of continuation of the Arc Broly Anime, which is set like 3 years later. Chronologically it is after the Arc Granolah, but without the Arches of Moro and Granolah.

I think that Pan when she was younger flew unconsciously and had forgotten how to do it.

In terms of power, I have all the Z Fighters just as powerful as in the Post Arc Granolah Manga, but with the difference that the maximum transformations of Goku and Vegeta were the SSJB.

Is Cell Max Full Form Final (Hypothetical) as powerful as Cell Max Uncontrollable turned out to be before receiving the Gamma 2 attack? That is the same power, but with the difference that Cell Max Uncontrollable could not fight properly?

But AT didn’t come up with Kefla or even the individual Saiyan girls, and they show up in the Broly movie. Several characters from the ToP, including gods of destruction were made by either Toyotaro or Toei as well.

So I guess characters are considered but the actual specifics of the plot (which includes transformations/power ups) are out? Makes me wonder if he considers Vegetto Blue canon.

Yeah, this is the problem with essentially having 3 different authors. It's all over the place.

AT drew Caulifla to go along with Kale after the anime writers suggested she be part of the tourney. He probably came up with Kefla's design. It was also stated that Dyspo's personality was only decided upon once Bin Shimada was slated to voice him. It's similar to Vegetto Blue and flashback Bardock being added in by Toyotaro to the original draft with AT's consent. AT even was involved in deciding Jiren's personality since the anime writers assumed he'd be talkative only for AT to correct them saying he was silent and stoic with a tragic backstory.

They're probably just alternate timelines of Dragon Ball Super, much like the 13 DBZ movies are to the Manga/Anime.

I think Broly more or less followed the manga's version of events (hence, no KKx20 Blue, Mastered Blue is Goku's top transformation outside of UI), but since Super Hero's plot was written in 2018, Moro and Granolah were not counted and Toriyama made Jiren, Broly and the GoDs all remain goalposts for Goku and Vegeta whose top transformation is still Blue. Who knows how it'll be with the next movie though, perhaps we'll see Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego there.
