...what people see in the anime? I really don't know, especially when those anime-lovers bash the manga and Toyotaro every chance they get. I really don't. The people who like the manga aren't that insecure to bash the anime every chance they get. Some talk about the story or Toyotaro not being able to write a story and I'm like did these people even watch the anime. I mean how can you with a straight face say the anime has better story-structure or consistency than the manga? Toei is the corporation that wants to milk as much as they can, Toyotaro is the passionate fan who wants to write DragonBall can continue its legacy. His art is also way closer to AT's original than the DragonBall Super anime was not counting the new movie, which seems quite close.

Do these people just prefer the asthetics and few hype moments over the actual story? I really don't get it.

oh ye & the music most of the time isn't that good. I can pick like 10-20 or so pieces at best that I like out of the whole OST.

No clue. The anime is so boring and drawn out at times, and it looks atrocious 95% of the time. Say what you will about the manga, but at least it looks appealing most of the time. :idk

I'd say quite a few episodes of the ToP (and some of U6 and Galu Black) have better art than the manga, though on average the manga's art is higher quality (still shit though).

I dunno, until about halfway thru the Black arc it seemed Toyotaro cared, but after that piece of shit Merged Zamasu asspull-fest and the current arc I don't think so. Roshi who struggled with kid Goku in the 21st tournament is now faster than CSSJB Goku and every fight (except Galu vs. :pyro) is more rushed than how long :autism can last in bed, the current arc shows how little Toyotaro cares.

Right. The anime only has a few really stand-out episodes art-wise, like the special episode where Goku got UI-Omen and the ending fight. The anime is a filler-fest.

Still better than the anime, though. Maybe Toyotaro realised the anime was sheet but still did good numbers so who the fack cares about quality. The anime is way worse though in-terms of power-scaling. Most stuff in the manga can at-least be explained some way, I mean the baffling stuff. The same dick-heads that praised the anime for giving the humans spot-light and trashing Toyotaro for getting the humans out of the way fast are the same people who are at it once again bashing Toyotaro for giving Master Roshi the spot-light. He can't win.

Both the anime and manga are shit. But what sucks about the two of them respectively is ironically opposite, where the anime drags on too long and the manga is so rushed that it gives temporary forms like SSJB Vegetto and UI basically no time to shine at all before they expire, leading to extremely lackluster fight scenes. Also, toyotaro tends to waste panels on things of little importance like Vegeta switching back and forth between God and Blue, which could've just been summarized in Vegeta using Blue to hit Black in a single panel with speed-lines to emphasize the hit rather than wasting like 4 panels (almost half a page) on that nonsense. With this being a monthly series that leads to pretty bad pacing.

The anime should have been monthly so they have more time to fuck it up. :troll2

Also the manga is more subtle, everything about the anime has to be shoved into your face like the people watching can't figure things out themselves and I also think they try too hard to look kewl and hype. It kind-of comes off comical because DragonBall Z did that effortlessly. The characters seem so flanderized.

For example in the manga Jiren isn't shown all the facking time even in episodes he isn't involved or is the focus on as if we can't already understand that Jiren is the highest. The manga treats him more like every other character in the tournament but still seemingly focused-on a bit more and important than most other opponents, which is how it'd be if this was for real. In a tournament even the highest character isn't the only focus for everyone, no-one is the center of the universe in real-life.

The manga is definitely more coherent, but the ToP feels so rushed and it's not doing well. Gohan vs. Kefla should've been a whole chapter, Veggie vs. Toppo should be it's own chapter, etc... No. 17 and Freeza have done very little as well. The anime was the opposite and dragged it all out way too long though.

I wouldn't blame though. He's probably being told that he should wrap the tournament up fast, so he can do the promotional manga for the new Broly movie sadly.

I guess because the manga isn't flashy enough.

This and it was rushed so fast and other major characters didn't get much a spotlight like their anime counterparts that's all.

What spotlight did they get in the anime? It was all worthless.

They got episodes for them to shine and how can that be worthless? Then again entertainment is subjective but their manga counterpart were treated like a jabronies with barely appearances.

On what a person likes or does not like is subjective. What is not subjective is what a story does, the points it makes, and the things it does. What did they all contribute to the story? Not much I presume, considering the manga knocked them out near instantly, and it changed basically nothing. Keep in mind the manga and anime are following the same script.

Nah, I didn't mention anything about the story but how the characters were used and given time which is what I prefer than the manga that's all. If you want argue about the story then that's fine but when it comes on entertainment then we can choose whatever we like.

Agreed wi Pocket-Gog. In the grand scheme of things that didn't mean anything. Just wasting time and even if you think the humans got to shine. None of it made any sense and there was still Goku every episode being flanderized to the nth degree, which was just plain annoying.
