Did Evil Boo use different power levels against Gotenks?

There's a difference between actively sensing someone and their attention being grabbed by a huge power. When Boo leaves the rosat, his presence quickly got Goku's attention. This was pretty similar to everyone sensing the change to Super Boo on the Kaioshin realm, as well as Goku's Super Saiyan 3 transformation. Goku couldn't sense Base Gohan on Earth, so Otherworld was most likely a lot closer to the Kaisohin realm than the Earth was.

Goku was watching the fight and wasn't sensing him when Boo escape from Rosat.

I've always thought that page was where Evil Boo was formed lol.

Anyway, that doesn't prove anything since anyone who are SS3 tier can grabbed anyone's attention and Boo was already sensed from Kaioshin world after he formed into Super Boo.

It also proves that Boo was using the same ki before and after he entered Rosat which why Goku identified it immediately.

Yes, that's why I said he wasn't suppressed when he left. He had to have been suppressed when he went in because Goku had no idea his Chi was even gone until they had already been in there for awhile. There's also the stupid Piccolo moments where he thought Base Gotenks could've did something against Boo.

I'm guessing that's the best way to look at it, but it almost makes it seem like he stopped sensing altogether. Then again, didn't Piccolo tell Gotenks to watch his blasts because he might destroy a dragon ball?? Wouldn't they be gone if Dende was gone?

Either way, nothing beats the "Gohan is gone forever even though he's never been revived once" stupid shit

Nothing ever stated nor implied that Boo supressed his ki when he enter the Rosat since it raises alot of questions. The reason why Goku didn't notice it was because Toriyama was hyping Gotenks and turn out to be a gag scene.

Piccolo thought ahead. He probably didn't think Lord Muri-sama would let him use a whole wish just to repair some Dragon Balls 1

There'a a few things that imply he wasn't at full-power:

-Piccolo pointing out to the kids that "it's not just his appearance that's changed" tells me he wasn't walking around at full-power since they'd know
-Trunks believing Base Gotenks will be an equal match for Super Boo tells me he wasn't walking around at full-power
-Piccolo thinking Base Gotenks might have a chance tells me he wasn't walking around at full-power, but Piccolo is stupid in the Boo saga
-Piccolo gets pretty excited when Gotenks transforms into a Super Saiyan

Gotenks might be a joke character, but there's really no other way to judge Boo.

We know Boo can control his power, so it's within reason that he wouldn't walk around at full-power. No form of Super Boo does a visual power-up, since they just use their full-power by fighting.

The only explanation I can think of for the Gohan being gone forever shit is if they thought Gohan literally got blasted to the end of the universe, came back to life, then suffocated. Or, Piccolo knew how awful his ki sensing got in this arc and didn't think it weird that he couldn't sense Gohan's ki, tried again, then assumed Boo just killed him a second time off-screen. 1

Of course, there's no way thought that through.

for the same reasons every villain was suppressed at some point (barring Raditz)? Piccolo Daimao, MaJunior, Ginyu, Freeza, #17, Cell, and Dabra have all been suppressed at some point.

MaJunior never does any visible power up (until he used that useless explosion wave attack ), nor does Dabra despite him clearly being less suppressed against Gohan than he was when he killed Kibito.

One explanation I used was they assumed the dragon balls don't work on Gohan for some reason.

The Dende bit is interesting because it shows how stupid they really get:

-Goku is watching everyone get turned to chocolate and is pissed. When Gohan asks what's going on, Goku tells him to focus, then he says there's "no one left to protect, but there's still hope as long as they have the dragon balls"?????? When they later find Dende, Goku is shown having a huge sigh of relief, so he had to have thought Boo ate him along with the others, right?

-Piccolo tells Gotenks to stop launching so many Chi-blasts or he might destroy one of the dragon balls. Later when Gohan asks him if he has the radar, he says he does but it doesn't matter because Dende is gone. So why did he think there were still dragon balls around when Gotenks was fighting Super Boo, yet tells Gohan that there can't be because there's no Dende?
