Cooler could be talking about techniques Goku might have used to defeat Freeza. A stretch I know, especially since he didn't use Kaio-Ken at this point but that'd make sense.

I said yes, if he used it before (as in on Namek against Freeza), then he should be able to use it now, but even easier. Because he's gotten much stronger and unlocked SSJ. And since this is the first post-Namek movie, and the movies like to mirror what has happened in the anime already, then I can very much see him using it here.

And we saw him using the 10x Kaioken on Namek for a long period without having to call out the name of the technique, so again it is very much possible.

Although in hindsight, maybe he was using the 10x here instead. Either way I would be okay with it being 10x or above.

The 90s internet had Cooler 3x that of Frieza. There is no logic to back it up but for some reason I can't shake that belief for logic of the movie.
