The Movie takes place 7 years after the Cell-Games, the same as Boo-Saga only change is Gohan

Gohan is the same gohan from the 25th budokai or at the very least, he is weaker than kid gohan from cell games

In the second one, what is relevant? everyone is on a weakened state and broly would logically not use that much power on them, even piccolo was able to deflect a blast from him in his first movie

Goten couldn't even land hits on gohan while goku could at least land hits on frieza, despite of being weaker, so he wasn't superior

Does gohan knows that at that point they can transform into ssj? If they don't do anything, they'll all die, specially in the shape they were at the time, it is out of character for gohan to not save someone as shown in the cell saga when he can (specially people who is near to him like his brother)

Both attacks have the same intention to provoke someone and to damage someone valuable, broly wanted to provoke both goku and gohan, you just present things of how you would want it to mean rather than thinking straight

By that we can think of ssj goten being an ant and totally irrelevant to ssj gohan in the beam struggle, but it is shown to not be the case. That logic doesn't work unless you think frieza > bojack

After Gohan attacks Frieza the other villains are scared, if Gohan wasn't so strong Bojack would fight him




Gohan already knows that Goten and Trunks transform into SSJ and knows Videl very well, and Goten already knows his father very well, as said the films do not follow the anime

But from what was shown, yes, Gohan SSJ after the fight against Broly is still superior to Goten, but there is such a thing as helping at all costs
