Doesn't it seem like sensing ki is more difficult than simply firing it? Galu could use a KHH for years before he could sense ki, not to mention most characters from space can't sense ki either.

I don't really think you can teach someone how to sense. I think it's an ability that needs fine-turning after understanding that it's possible. Pretty much what Vegeta did.

Gohan also couldn't properly sense ki during his first battle despite knowing how to fire ki since at least 5 months prior to that event, so there's that too.

It's always nice to explore these little things.

Freeza learned how to sense Chi (God Chi as well) in 4 months.

DB has a lot more little intricacies that we haven't discussed to the death. It's a nice change of pace to read through it again.

Chi-sensing is one of those things that were much different than your typical techniques. Vegeta simply learning that it existed and knowing a fellow Saiyan could do it was enough for him to develop the ability. He sucked it at first, but the more he concentrated, the more adapt he became at it.

Kenshi brought up the space warriors. When looking at them and the Earthlings, their entire perspective on power is vastly different from one another. Earthlings are all about training and meditating to build their Chi, sensing and suppressing Chi, while developing techniques. Space warriors like Freeza's forces don't seem to know the concept of Chi. To them, Chi=Battle Power. If you have more Battle Power, you'll likely win. They know that by way of Scouters. That ended up being their biggest downfall because of their simple-minded approach to fighting. Ginyu seemed to be the only one that actually had a smarter approach than all of the others.

Man, King Cold is someone I would've liked to have seen more. He doesn't seem to care about fighting; only his clan maintaining their "strongest" title in the universe.

What version of Roshi is Karin speaking about when after he said Goku may have surpassed him when he took the water?

So any explanations for this scene? Did Yamcha have the power to see the future for a brief moment or something?

I think Krillin is in a temporary state of delusion considering he just witnessed his death. Yamcha's cockiness never implied such.

The whole bit about being restored makes it seem like he thought Krillin would get killed if he fought next.

I mean, it's not like Krillin (and Chaozu) could've avoided fighting forever, anyway.

Krillin was still suppressed to 1083 there, no? Perhaps Yamcha doesn't know his full power and thought he'd lose?

I dunno. I'd like to think Yamcha would be aware everyone isn't showing all of their cards at that point. There's also the fact that Krillin has been well above Yamcha for quite awhile. It makes me believe it's something not power-related.

I think Yamcha was just delusional and thought by relieving :Krillin of being the first to die like in the PD arc he could lessen their casualties

Yamcha was actually suicidal and wanted to go train on Kaio's planet.

It's pretty funny how Freeza considered the possibility of Zarbon running away when he didn't come back to the ship. Where would he even hide? I guess Freeza could've assumed he took one of the pods on the planet, or simply hide somewhere on the planet. No scouters were around, so he would be almost impossible to find.

I have a feeling if Zarbon was really hiding out, Freeza would've probably sent the Ginyu Force to take him out.
