I know they're about equal, but Cell looked like he had the upperhand against #16. I also don't understand why Hells Flash wasn't able to do more damage than it did. #16 didn't seem to think it had any noticeable effect just going by his radar.

The main thing I think #16 has over him is the limitless energy.

Not really. Cell only had a speed advantage, ans i think this was because of 16 having a heavy body.

Looking back, it does look to be a speed advantage.

Hell's Flash was still ass.

When #16 was like "he probably took damage", I realized how shitty the attack was. I'm actually salty it wasn't better.

I would've liked to have seen how destructive his bomb would've been.

I believe I've brought this up before at some point, but what do you guys think Goku is referring to here about feeling the Pirate Robot's presence?

Prolly just a feeling. Kind of when you insist there's somebody looking at you or observing you. Goku has a pretty acute sense.

Knowing that it isn't human seems pretty detailed though.. as if it's giving off a ki signature that has no genki or something. Roshi did confirm that power auras could be sensed by that point in time.

Goku sensing the robot's presence is something I never really thought about.

I also think that might have more to do with intuition than actual Chi-sensing. That ability is so so during DB.

This scene leads me to believe he really only began sensing Chi after drinking the God Water

Roshi at the least was capable of sensing battle power at that point. Idk, it's hard to understand.

Haha, "intution" was the word I was searching for in my initial post.

Anyway, look at when Tenshinhan was charging up his Kikoho. Goku has mentioned something like feeling a huge chi from him or something like this. But yeah, I think it was more of a "superficial ability" of sensing chi, and it was just perfected afterwards. Even Karin-sama is amazed at Goku's sensing abilities there, the same Karin who seemed so much of a God that he'd be the first person Goku would ask to regarding his standing compared to Cell lol.

Yeah I think anything pre-22nd/Piccolo arc is purely instinctual sensing. Galu could sense ppl in Oolong's village too when they were hiding out.

Why wouldn't Roshi teach them how to sense actual chi then? You'd think that would be pretty useful knowledge.
