Considering Oolong didn't graduate from the Transformation school and has been shown to have inferior skills compared to Pu-Erh because of it, I'd say what he showcased was the largest he can go.

Definitely Goku's hunger. Yamcha was completely helpless in their rematch.

I'm at chapter 5 rn. They just got to Oolong's vilage. Not much more to add beyond what you've already said. Goku's comment about knowing there were many ppl there seems interesting like you've highlighted, but intuition seems to be likely here.

I really like the artwork. Very unique imo. The sexual jokes are somewhat funny.

Yeah this artwork is a breath of fresh air at this point. It looks so much more unique than it does now. DB is awesome.

I really like the artwork. Very unique imo. The sexual jokes are somewhat funny.

An interesting bit of trivia on the artwork is how surprising it is that this arc was one where Toriyama used a lot of grey shading and was fine with having quite a few pages set at night-time, despite him notoriously not liking using greys or putting in a lot of shading. Really shows how much effort he put into the finer details compared to something such as say, the Boo Arc where some chapters that have fairly blank backgrounds.

Chapter 8:

So what is the rationale behind Goku performing better in his second bout with Yamcha? He got smoked by a Yamcha, and claimed to be even hungrier than before. Somehow he nearly one shotted Yamcha after.

So are we gonna talk about how Oolong casually used the date rape drug on Bulma and said he would rape her? #metoo

Chapter 10:

I forgot that Goku and Yamcha fought again. Goku was well rested this time and made quick work of him. Yamcha still seemed like he was on the outer boundaries of rivalling Goku’s full power. It’s hard to tell if Goku was 100% serious however.

Kame-Sen'nin is about to put out the fire. Overall, very well crafted story. Everything seems well placed, planned and thought out.

I find it funny that this little mountain covered in flame is enough to significantly warm up the north.

Chi Chi can outrun a T-Rex? Lol
