What if it's an entire episode of him getting beat-up, but refusing to stay-down? That'd still be essentially getting stomped.

That seems pessimistic. Hit's got hax techniques for Jiren to deal with, and since the writers clearly haven't forgotten about Hit's improvement (they made note of it again during the Dyspo fight with Toppo pointing out Hit was adapting to Dyspo's speed) he'll be getting stronger and faster as the fight goes on.

I think Jiren will have to display some hax techniques of his own. Could very well be a battle of cunning and strategy with both fighters trying to out-counter the other's special techniques.

And even if what you say did happen it'd still be better than how Vegeta got treated early in the future trunks arc when he got shanked by Black (i'm a Vegeta fan and even I gotta admit that shit was embarassing ).

I still think he'll be fighting a worn down Jiren. Limit Breaker Goku will wear him down for the others to finish off.

That doesn't mean Hit's fight vs. Jiren won't be cool.

Goku's form will wear out, he'll be eliminated in a shock turn of events, then it'll be up to Hit to finish the job while Vegeta and Gohan deal with Toppo.

Silver Frost is still weaker than SSJ Vegeta but strong enough to keep Golden Freeza's attention away from Jiren/Goku.

Silver Frost uses the Mafuba on Golden Freeza and just throws him out of bounds with it. The power and stamina drain from using the Mafuba with Silver Form is too much for Frost though, and he passes out from exhaustion. They're both eliminated simultaneously.

More hype for Hit vs Jiren . It being the "Extreme battle of another dimension!" could mean its a battle of a different nature from Goku vs Jiren (or of a different level like Herms said). Maybe more strategy oriented with both trying to counter each other's special techniques. I absolutely love those kinds of fights. Could also mean Hit brings Jiren into his pocket dimension for the battle to take place. It'd be awesome if there were some new abilities he could display by controlling the pocket dimension from the inside. Goku's new automatic movement technique is hype too. I was hoping his new form would be related to Whis's teaching. Looks like my prediction was right.

Tbh i'm more hyped for Hit vs Jiren than Jiren vs Goku. Especially with a title like "Extreme battle of another dimension! Hit vs Jiren!" hyping the fight to be on another level (or the another dimension thing could also mean the battle is taking place in Hit's pocket dimension and he's going to display some new abilities with it which would also be awesome). So many hit haters claimed Hit would be oneshot or casually stomped by Jiren but this title seems to indicate the fight'll be much more interesting/competitive than that.

To be fair, he did show some signs of the ability when predicting Hit's movements whilst Hit was in Time Leap, so it's not the worst asspull if this transformation also makes focus on amplifying all his senses, rather than just the general power, speed and reactions others focus on.

We may be interpreting Goku's stamina wrong and it could all make sense. He probably jizzed himself fighting Jiren and needs some time to ready another load. He hasn't got those white areas in his new form for nothing
