The new form looks alright, but I really didn't want to dilute the transformation pool even further. This will also make Gohan, Freeza, and Vegeta all irrelevant again.

DBZ in a hundred episodes have created two forms i.e Kaioken and SSjin and its been over 100 episodes of Super and they made two forms but they dropped the SSjinG too soon and overused SSjinB so it makes sense for Goku to have a new form now.

Just another way to make tons of money with merchandise and shit through new transformations with lackluster designs cause they know the kids will eat it no matter what. If that wasn't confirmed to be legit I would have thought that was fanart.

My opinion on the form may change when I see it on screen but I'm still disappointed design-wise.

I mean, saying it's the lesser of two evils may not make it good, but when it comes to Super, that's usually the best compliment you can give it.

Sure, it's not an exact copy of Goku's previous forms, but it's still generic as fuck. Goku's new form speaks laziness to me. Trying to milk the shit out of that cow for $$$ by creating new forms with no sense of uniqueness to them, just like how SSB was made.

My opinion may change if this isn't a Saiyan transformation though. Who knows, I may eventually come to like this form later down the road, but as of now it's very meh to me.

This will give Goku 8 transformations if we count Oozaru and Kaio-Ken. 9 for the GT cucks.

Considering that DB's most revenue and money came from merchandising Bandai company then it does makes sense in business wise but I just hope there's a good explanation of this. Which also remind me that what if that form is MSSjinB in anime version?

The amount of forms in this franchise make me glad I only got the FnF Blue Goku and Vegeta figures and focus on buying the Freeza Arc characters. No doubt this new form will be out in stores real soon.

It also just makes sense Storytelling/entertainment wise. SSB has really gotten kinda stale at this point.

MSSB was Toyble fixing a problem of his own creation (Him giving SSB massive energy drain to the point activating it once makes it 90% weaker the second time you activate it a few minutes later).

It's not necessary in the anime since Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken is only possible to begin with because of Super Saiyan Blue's precise energy control. From what I can tell, in the anime SSB doesn't drain a massive amount of energy (you don't get much weaker each successive time you use it in a fight) but it drains stamina so you can't use it for excessive amounts of time. It can still be used for a substantially long amount of time or multiple times in a single fight so it's stamina drain in the anime is nowhere near as notable as some other forms (Super Saiyan Grade 3 or SSJ3) though.

Tell us why the hair color of Super Saiyan God is red!
Simply because it’s a strong-looking color. I had already used gold, and blue doesn’t look very strong. Visually-speaking, red really is easy to understand.

Toei Animation and Dragon Ball Super producer Hiroyuki Sakurada provided a special comment to accompany the announcements:

History’s mightiest “Tournament of Power” is being held in Dragon Ball Super to decide the fate of all the universes. Starting in October, it at last reaches a turning point as Goku finally faces off with his strongest opponent, Jiren. From there on out it will truly be a continuous run from Goku and co.’s big battle to the climax. And to kick it off, Dragon Ball Super will be airing a “1-Hour Autumn Special” on October 8th. Unprecedented surprises are in store, so please look forward to it. Plus, with Dragon Ball Super powering up in this super-climax and One Piece heating up in celebration of its 20th anniversary, a collaboration between these two great Sunday anime is finally becoming a reality. It’s a dream visual symbolizing the two great anime, as if Goku and Luffy were on an adventure together!

The One Piece special is set to air in the two shows’ time blocks from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, 01 October 2017. The Dragon Ball Super special will follow suit in the same block on Sunday, 08 October 2017.
