The trailer looks epic.

As a tl;dw for the video above, there's a few main things to gather:

- The game won't be covering Part 1 material, though Part 1 characters such as #8 will appear as cameos for side-missions.
- The staff member hinted it will go beyond the Freeza Arc, saying that they plan on not leaving fans disappointed and having a faithful experience of the anime. He also hinted it may go beyond Z when saying it will cover "mainly Z", so unless that was a translation error, we might see some Super content.
- It will indeed have a level system as in most RPGs and the side-quests seem to function much like those of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series. Essentially, it is indeed 3D Legacy of Goku.
- Seems the game will be liberal when it comes to costume accuracy, given Goku doesn't remove his weights in the Raditz fight.
- Movie characters will not be part of the story.
- Both the original and an instrumental of Cha-La-Head-Cha-La are in the game. Shut up and take my money!

Essentially this game is trying to relive what it's like to be Goku during the Z era such as being able to detect Ki readings and the opponents battle power. Power scaling is kept true to the source material meaning no PvP either. This potentially may be my favorite DB game to date.

@Fantastische Hure I think you finally have a worthy contender for your perfect image of what a DB game should be.
I don't know why but some reason I don't think I saw this before. Sorry.

Yes, this is exactly what I wanted. My wishes have finally come true it seems.

Has there been a Boo saga trailer yet?

AT apparently added some new things to the game that weren't in the manga. Sounds great.

Also the game seems to follow the manga rather than the anime.

This is probably the most excited I've ever been for a game.

Not yet. The Cell Arc trailer alone was very recent.

Also the game seems to follow the manga rather than the anime.
That's kind of arguable, given how interviews have talked about it being an immersive experience of the DBZ Anime in specific.

Well I just went-off what I saw in the trailer. Maybe they meant that the game will be like an anime, not the DragonBall Z anime itself necessarily.

Yeah, I thought so but I've seen others talk about the Boo saga in the game as if it was already confirmed.

It was in referring to the Z anime. When asked if movie characters would appear, one of the developers stated something along the lines of "We are trying to stay true to the experience and story of the Dragon Ball anime."

Yeah, I thought so but I've seen others talk about the Boo saga in the game as if it was already confirmed.
It seems more like common sense based on past trends. Most believed that it being centred on Goku's story would lead to it ending at the Freeza Arc due to his limited role in the Cell Arc in favour of Gohan. This not being true just opens the door for the arc where Goku becomes the hero again being a natural conclusion.
It's also in line with the developer mentioned before saying they may go beyond the Z anime, so covering all of Z and maybe some or all of Super's current run seems like a no-brainer.

I think I saw it being mentioned before the Cell saga trailer was revealed though.

I guess that's that then but there is still something I saw in the trailer that makes me think it'll stay true to the manga too.

So, to take away from this:

- The Shishin no Ken/Multi-Form that Cell used in filler will be part of the Gohan VS SPC boss fight.
- Food consumption won't be mandatory for maintaining HP and such, but will be useful as a stat buff.
- You won't be able to fast travel with Shunkan Ido outside of perhaps visiting planets such as Namek or Kaio's.
- The driving lessons during the 3 year training will appear in some form. 10/10. 100/100. Best game, best game.

Some more new screenshots available:

Seems Future Trunks will be playable. The driving segment will probably be available for all the Cell Arc (given one still shows SSJ Goku driving) and there will be an original character called Bonyu who looks like a fat, female Jheese. I imagine her and some other Ginyu Tokusentai wannabes will be some filler villains to beat in one of the missions after the Freeza Arc.

Nostalgic New Trailer For DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT Has Just Been Released By Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco has just released a brand-new trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot during this year's Gamescom, and it is one of those trailers that will have fans not only excited for the game, but also trying to holding back a tear or two.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will have players taking the role of Goku and some of the other Z warriors, including his son Gohan, and this latest trailer shows us Gohan's journey into becoming the warrior that he was always destined to become.

It sure looks like the developers have really put their hearts into this project, and trailers like these are the proof. While we still don't have an official release date for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, one thing is for sure: fans of the Dragon Ball series will not be disappointed.

Relive the thrilling story of Kakarot, the legendary Saiyan better known as Goku, in the all-new Action-RPG DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT, coming early 2020. DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT will include English and Japanese voice-over along with subtitles in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish, as well as Russian, Polish and Arabic.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(digital) early in 2020.

I've already seen the Cell arc trailer when it first came out, but I really enjoyed the creative liberties taken with the Gohan and Cell kamehameha clash.

So far our list of playable characters include...
Goku
Vegeta
Gohan
Piccolo
Future Trunks

Supports characters include Kuririn, Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu.

I've heard that the game will explore character tidbits that hasn't been gone into detail in the manga or anime, such as Goku learning Shunkan Ido on Yardrat and learning Super Saiyan 3 in the afterlife. Some of it may even improve upon the story where we have Gohan teaming up with #16 during a mission before the Cell Games.

This was uploaded like 2 months ago but I haven't seen anyone mention this so I'll post it anyway.
