MasakoX brought up a good point in the vid he made about this. The whole thing could just be a filler episode in which Freeza refuses the request and Boo's woken up through being put into the Rosat. The latter would be an intelligent move (something to boost the series' rep), plus whilst pointless filler, it'd be expected of Toei to bridge the gap between manga and anime.

Then again, Toyotaro said the team rosters weren't as clear as they seemed, so anything could happen.

Honestly, Roshi should have been the one to get his ass off the team if Freeza does indeed participate. I don't like that almost the whole team basically looks human, it feels weird. More diversity would be good.

That's all right. The Saiyans were shoved through our throat since the Android arc which kicked the humans out of the spotlight and now they're utilizing them again so I'm happy for it. The kids and their stupid fusion almost ruined the power scalling of Boo arc and I'm glad that Toriyama or Toei doesn't pay any attention on them anymore.
