I can see what you mean. I think I might think the same way sometimes, but I also think there's some validity for this. Freeza was probably getting worried since like he said Gohan and Vegeta were getting steadily higher, so he made sure there's no way he can get caught off guard by them or something by transforming into his final form which is too high.

He didn't know about Dende healing them yet until he had begun to transform, so he probably just wanted to widen the gap as much as he possibly could since they were coming back stronger and stronger due to zenkais.

That's what I meant. So there was no chance he can get caught off guard, like he did before in his 3rd Form against Gohan or other times.

True, but he was already winning easily against Vegeta. And I guess he just got comfortable being so superior to everyone for so long it's kind-of become a habit for him not to be at full-power.

The Masenko has a pretty shit boost. It's power level was only 2800, despite coming from a guy stronger than Piccolo, who I can't imagine having a power level much lower than 2300.

You think Piccolo would teach Gohan a better move, like the Makankasappo. :elmo

He image trained with Kuririn, though I don't know if that can help you improve ki blasts and whatnot.
