FnF is considered one of the worst things Toriyama ever had a hand in creating and current Berserk (post 2009) is considered the slowest-moving and dull part of the series easily.
I still like the Fantasia arc aside from the Sea God part and despite the pacing. If you read it all at once it's not really all that long. Casca's dream thingy to cure her looks pretty cool and trippy to me as well. So yeah, RF blows major ass.
Ugh. That new Berserk anime was awful. It was supposedly even worse before Miura stepped in and touched up the script a bit. They condensed ~7 volumes into 12 episodes, for fucks sake.
I think that's when I stopped expecting anything out of any adaptation of Berserk period. The fact that Miura stepped in to improve that atrocity and it still came out a 0/10 anime is saying a lot about his apathy for the series.
FnF is worse for me. It is simply unwatchable. I've managed to get through all of Berserk twice, so I can at least manage to read it, despite it being cancerous aside from the 3 good arcs.
I enjoy all arcs of Berserk aside from the Sea God part. I can't find anything enjoyable about RF what with all the plot holes and inconsistencies. The movie sucked and the anime just made it worse, I can't even fathom how the script for it was approved by anyone.
I think the anime sucked slightly (very slightly) less in the plot department since at least we got an explanation for that Zarbon tier soldier plot hole and Gotenks wasn't missing for no fathamucking reason. With the horrid animation in all but like 3 episodes it was shit on an almost new level though, reminded me of the time I found out about the movie. which felt like a joke through and through with a guy that got killed by the kid who's fodderized by the future androids coming back and gave us such gems as barely-Super Saiyan Gohan and a blue recolor that I couldn't believe was an actual form when I saw it. Plus, Freeza in pieces. If I was Toriyama's old editor I'd have blocked his number for ever associating with me in the slightest in manga production once I saw that hot mess
