How far ahead is Kamiccolo compared to the Android arc Super Saiyans?

I guess it depends on where you have Piccolo before merging with Kami. I have Piccolo around 200 million, with Vegeta around 320 million or so. Since I have the assimilation as a 2x boost, Piccolo ends up being 1.25x stronger than Vegeta.

It's clearly a huge gap. People only argue otherwise because they take Vegeta's fight with #18 way too literally and ignore every other statement that renders Vegeta's "performance" meaningless.

Number wise, I have this:

Piccolo: 72
Vegeta: 100
#18: 140
#18: 160
Kamiccolo: 160

Vegeta's implied to be weaker than even Gingertown Cell when he says everybody's surpassing the Super Saiyan left and right after sensing their battle, as well as by Goku stating he can't possibly beat Cell or the androids and that he doesn't think he can beat anyone Vegeta can't beat. By contrast, Piccolo says that Cell isn't all that powerful yet when he suggests hunting him down first, and adds that #17 and #18 far surpass Cell. No small gap is implied between Vegeta and the guys who consider him and Goku together to be nothing special.

He's at least twice Vegeta's power, maybe even three times. Like you said, Cell was stronger than Vegeta (though not by too much, judging by Cell's reaction to his power), and Piccolo beat him with weighted clothing. I personally think there's evidence that weighted clothing can cut the user's power by close to half, so Piccolo wasn't even close to his full strength when he did that.

I would disagree. After Vegeta and 18 say that they will be going all out, Vegeta is able to make her put in a lot of work, and even gets in hits if I'm not mistaken. The gap only needs to be bigger than 1.2x, because she was able to handle Trunks and a weakened Vegeta at the same time.

Trunks gets taken out in two hits during the fight, and there's stated to not be much difference between the 3 super saiyans.

Clearly Piccolo and the Androids are at a completely different level at that point. Cell is stated to be stronger than the saiyans as well and he's weaker than the androids.

18 dominates that fight both before and after he's stated to be weakening. The only hit vegeta really gets in is the hammerfist + chi-blast, which after being completely uneffective she states that she has nothing to worry about him or goku. After that she blocks or dodges everyone of his attacks before breaking his arm.

Exactly what I mean by taking the fight too literally. #18 was clearly trolling Vegeta. She called him and Goku "nothing special" and thought that he was "pretending to be weak" when he fought her (when she saw how powerful he had become against 2nd form Cell).

Vegeta was close enough to give 18 somewhat of a fight, and he wasn't completely done in, whereas Trunks was literally garbage by comparison.

And Trunks was relevant to Vegeta.

Exactly

But the characters weren't corrected later-on, and their thoughts were still thought of as accurate.

Exactly.

Again, later statements say that Vegeta's performance against #18 mean nothing. #18 never took Vegeta seriously.
