Gap MSSJ Goku/MSSJ Gohan at Cell Games

I realized that, if Gohan was MSSJ against Dabura, the MSSJ Goku/MSSJ Gohan gap at Cell Games must be huge...
-If Gohan was MSSJ against Dabura, that obviously means Dabura is below FP Perfect Cell. But, Goku said ''he'd be bad news 7 years ago'', so
Dabura still has to be at least at Cell Games MSSJ Goku level.
-Buu Saga Gohan was stated by Vegeta to be ''far far weaker'' than at Cell Games. To me, this ''far, far'' indicates at least 1.5x a decrease.
So, if, with 1.5x a loss, Gohan still has a slight power edge (he broke Dabura's blade) over a guy who's at least at MSSJ CGs Goku level,
the father/son gap 7 years prior should be at the very least 1.5x

I have Goku MSSJ (Cell Games) at 75% of Gohan MSSJ (Cell Games). I would not go further on this. I think even 1.25x could work as a gap between Boo saga Gohan and Cell Games Gohan.

Goku definitely wouldn't be able to land a hit considering someone faster than Goku couldn't hit Gohan. I don't believe Gohan has haxed speed, so he stomps by a mile.

1.5x is too much, I think the gap between them is similar to their Boo Arc counterpart where Goku is stronger than Kid Gohan.

With a difference that big, it seems odd no one would note a power-up by Cell.

Better fight or not, someone that far ahead of Goku would've had Cell's attention far more than the guy several times weaker.

Lol at Gohan being 20x stronger then Goku. That just seems... horribly wrong.

Anyways, there are two ways of looking at this, and either really works out:

a) Gohan isn't any stronger then Goku, he's just much, much quicker. Hence the only reason that Cell increased his speed but nothing implied that his Chi or strength increased.

b) Gohan is stronger then Goku, but it's probably only a 20% difference.

Either one works fine.

I don't think a works because Cell partially agreed about Gohan. He just didn't agree that Gohan could beat him.

Partially agreeing doesn't completely discredit it though. Cell could have taken the advantage in strength that he had over Goku and applied it to Gohan, but with so much speed that Gohan couldn't trace his movements. I'm not saying it's the likely answer, but it is definitely plausible.

That seems rather complicated. Why not just go with what Cell says instead? The only thing Goku was wrong about was Gohan being able to beat Cell, according to Cell himself. If Gohan wasn't any stronger than Goku, then there's nothing truthful about his statement. The statement was Gohan is going to be stronger than both Goku and Cell.

Gohan could be much quicker and fully capable of accomplishing more then Goku on his own, he doesn't necessarily have to be stronger. We've covered this several times before, strength doesn't correlate with speed and this can be another example of it. If you're able to hit someone but unable to fight someone whose the same strength, we'll.. you're pretty much fucked. Anyways, Goku wasn't counting on Gohan as a Super Saiyan, he was counting on Gohan as a Super Saiyan 2.

Cell had no reason to assume Gohan was much faster when he made his statement. He was judging Gohan's power.
