I agree. I feel Berserk doesn't even feel like Berserk anymore after a certain point and feels more like a generic shonen; I think rape horse makes this transition. It gets too light hearted and gaguish to my tastes and doesn't have that dark atmosphere it once had. Damn this Isidro monkey kid.

That's definitely a problem with the later chapters. Puck was enough gag wise, he kept the manga into not getting too dark, and he had some serious moments too. Isidro as a character just doesn't work, the role he's meant to fill has already been filled, he has so few serious moments that I'm shocked, he's not as funny as Puck, and he doesn't bounce off as well with Puck as Puck did with Guts. Heck, the group itself is too big as well.

Even then I feel like the magical weapons everyone received just does not fit with the world that was created as well. And it makes everything feel overall cheaper.

I think Puck in the Black Swordsman arc should be the way he should act afterwards. A bit of a comedy relief but nothing overblown. Later he became just too gagish and lost the lustre he once had imo, barely appearing anymore as a serious character.
