By far. This Vegeta is content with Goku being the strongest, but doesn't plan to become the next Piccolo and be left in the dust, training for his own self-improvement and testing his limits.
Meanwhile, DBS Vegeta switches between this and "I wIlL sUrPaSs KAKAROTTO" on an episodic basis 2.

In fairness, DBZ Kakarot (which had AT's participation) writes in SSJG Vegeta's bio that with the achievement of his God form, Vegeta's desire to surpass Galu only burns stronger or something to that effect. This doesn't entirely excuse Vegeta's character regression in the ToP, but it may shed some light into why Vegeta seems more competitive with Galu nowadays than in the Boo arc where he was 4 times weaker than Galu's SSJ3 form.

That could have some justification in the manga canon, though Super's anime definitely throws a wrench into the idea with him already expressing his dissatisfaction of always being #2 as early as before Beerus shows up on Earth.

You could argue that since the anime continuity had Vegeta already surpass BoG arc Ultimate Gohan in regular SSJ2 (no rage), he now desired to move up in the world and become the best. I entirely agree that GT handled his character growth better, other than him pulling another Recoome fight jobbing affair against Super #17 like the bitch he is

Possibly not, considering Yi Xing Long is made apparent to be unable to sense Ki from the way he fights, unless assuming he was simply stupider than an irrational Gohan Boo.

Why is it that Kami and Dende can both sense ki, but the dragons linked to the Dragon Balls they created can't?

It's pretty funny that Yi Xing Long fell for Galu's feint that he couldn't fight properly with his eyes blinded too, even though Galu showed that is zero handicap against Yakon. Not only is Yi unable to sense ki, but he can't even fathom that other people can
