Would Goku have got desperate, like the others? Would he have still been
cool, having accepted the fact that they were all going to die?

But like I said there was no illustration to go with it, so it's filler.Fearless Saiyaman said:Fantastische Hure said:But they didn't literally show Super-Saiyan 2.Fearless Saiyaman said:But Goku mentioned it in the manga.
It was Gohan's true power during the Cell Games and Toriyama just added SSjin2 at the top of it later in the Boo arc. Not even Goku and Vegeta can tell that Gohan was SSjin2 against Cell at that time but later in the series since SSjin2 wasn't a thing yet.
So Gohan awakened his true power with SSjin2 in the ROSAT but subconsciously.
He might have just seen Gohan's angry power.withheldforprivacy said:Don't play stupid. I meant, if Goku hadn't seen whatever he saw in ROSAT and MSSJ was Gohan's
max, what would have happened? What would Goku have done during the 10 days?
Captain Cadaver said:It wasn't just the Rosat that would've triggered Galu's confidence in Gohan, but the very nature of his latent power in general. Hell, the fight with Raditz should've been enough reasoning for him to view Gohan's rage as his trump card. Their training in the Rosat was just a little icing to the cake.
Not really. You gave to look at the situations. Everything before Cell no-matter how hard or impossible it seemed Goku had a shot at winning or the best chance out of everyone. In the Freeza Saga, even before Super-Saiyan his training and Zenkais made him the bar-none highest Z-Fighter. In the Saiyan Saga, Goku was also by far the highest character from the heroes and had new techniques such as Kaio-Ken and stuff. And he never got to train with Gohan around those Sagas. He did in the Android Saga, but he didn't know how strong the androids were and apparently made enough progress to think he himself can take the androids on. Against Cell he trained and trained but just figured his best wasn't enough, no matter how hard he tried. His potential at the time to him seemed maxed-out, so Gohan was his only hope. He knew he had potential that way surpasses his own, so he put all his eggs in one basket.withheldforprivacy said:Captain Cadaver said:It wasn't just the Rosat that would've triggered Galu's confidence in Gohan, but the very nature of his latent power in general. Goku never viewed Gohan as a trump card during the years between Raditz Saga-Cell Games. Obviously,
something happened in ROSAT that made Goku view his son as such, be it the filler SSJ2 burst scene or
whatever happened in your manga headcanon.
