To be fair there are some aspects of the Battle of Gods movie that doesn’t align with the current material like Beerus’ strength relative to Goku and even the god absorbtion into base, which they are seemingly removing in the remaster.

You could argue it kind-of aligns with the movies. AT’s original idea was that Goku & Vegeta could even defeat Merged Zamasu together & didn’t need to fuse to defeat him.

Maybe during the first draft, but Vegetto’s inclusion likely became part of the key notes once Toyotaro suggested the idea, since he appeared in the anime as well.
