Is Piccolo joining Kami a 2x boost?

The scaling in the Android saga works out to be around a 2x boost so I see no reason to disregard it.

Can't see it being less than that. Dunno about more though. Mostly just depends on the gap between 18 and Vegeta I guess.

Nope. Guru implied that the Nameless Namek was stronger than Nappa and Vegeta in his prime so the multiplier is likely random.
Did he say he could beat Freeza too?

Elder Namekian said that if he came back as one, he "might" not have had to die. We don't know the extent of Kuririn's memories he accessed, so maybe he experienced his death against Nappa... in which case being 2x stronger could allow him to battle Nappa with more dignity and stall until Goku got there. Either that, or the fact that Saichoro didn't specify when they could have re-emerged again may open space for it to have happened before the battle against the Saiyajins and plus his training gains as a more unique and genius being could allow for bigger increases.

But yeah, it's an interesting point to think about. It seems like he was comparing his power to the Saiyajin that killed him, Vegeta. But the way he worded that opens room for those interpretations I mentioned above.

Thought maybe the multiplier between Nameless Namek (20,000-200,000, depending on if Guru meant Nameless could compete with Base Vegeta or Ozaru Vegeta) and Kamiccolo (1,000,000,000ish) could be the same as between post-split young Piccolo Daimao (300ish) and Android Saga Piccolo (360,000,000ish), but tried it and it doesn't work at all. One is like x4000-x40,000 and the other is at least a million.

Idea was that the fused version could've powered up by the same multiplier that the unfused Piccolo did. Can't think of another way of having a non-random multiplier.

Piccolo divided by kami and then multiplied by a constant number doesn't work either, since for Nameless the constant would be between 200,000 and 20,000 (20,000-200,000 divided by 300/300 (which is = 1)) and for Kamiccolo it would be about 700 (1,000,000,000 divided by (360,000,000/250) is 694).

--------

Only other way that kinda works if you only divide Piccolo by Kami when they have an actual gap between each other. Then, assuming Guru believed Nameless would have been able to compete with Ozaru Vegeta and therefore probably had a PL around 200,000, Nameless would be 650 times stronger than a young Piccolo Daimao (300 PL). Then for Kamiccolo, because there's an actual gap between Piccolo and Kami, you divide the stronger's PL by the weaker's, which in this case is about 360,000,000/250, which is 1,440,000 and then times the multiplier of around 650, which gives 936,000,000, which is around 1 billion, which is about where I'd put Kamiccolo. Here I'm assuming there was never much of a gap between young Kami and young Piccolo Daimao. Even if the PLs were a little off, it could still work. For example, you could have Kamiccolo as low as 800,000,000 and still it would work, if you increase young Daimao's PL to 360 (200,000/360=555, then 1,440,000x555=799,200,000, which is about 8 billion).

(Got the 1 billionish for Kamiccolo from Mecha Freeza being around Namek Goku's 150,000,000, Trunks being x2 that (so 300,000,000), Goku and Piccolo Android Saga being 1.2x Trunks (360,000,000), Vegeta being 1.5x Trunks (450,000,000), A18 being x2 that (900,000,000) and Kamiccolo being a bit above that)

I just think that the fusion between Piccolo and Kamisama may have had a much bigger boost in the Arc Saiyan compared to what it was in the Arc Android, due to the gap between them not being as colossal in the Arc Saiyan compared to the Arc Android.

The shoe certainly fits in the Android Saga, but I wouldn’t take that line from Guru as indication unless you think the split was also even.

Guru just said he “might not have had to die”. He’s at least close to Nappa, but definitely not above both of them.

I always saw it as a 2x boost. It works fine for me.

If they diminished by half, I don't see why returning would be much more than that. Piccolo's huge improvement over the yrs is why the assimilation ended up being as powerful as it was.

I find it kinda shaky because, yeah, it was diminished by half, so if they came back together as one at the time, they'd be 2x as powerful... but Piccolo obviously got a lot stronger and Kami changed his power, too. So there seems to be no longer a need for it to double Piccolo's power. Right after the fact yes, but why'd it hold the same way later? Say I have 100 magazines and give half to you... if you turn them back, I'll double them... but if I acquired more magazines and you too, then not...

Btw, Saichoro stated Vegeta should be a SSJ to have defeated the original son of Katatz... the original Namekian can't be that strong, can he? Specially if his power was given half to Piccolo Daimao. We know for a fact that doubling young Piccolo Daimao's power would make him still an ant to Raditz. What's up with that? Maybe he was counting with the unmerged Namekian getting way stronger with training?

Wasn't the Nameless Namek stated to be a prodigy among his people? In that case, I think he should at least be far stronger than the 3k Namek Warriors.

Did the elder see the SSJ live? If not he’s just going off rumours/legends right? Vegeta (IIRC) and Captain Ginyu thought Goku was one.

I think he thought the SSJ was stronger than 18k Vegeta at least. He wondered whether Vegeta was a SSJ to have defeated him and when he accessed Kuririn's memories the way he rationalized Katatz' child's death was the split... and I think he should have mentioned something like "the enemies were too strong either way", but he let that as a "he might not have had to die".

But it's strange either way because if the original Namekian was that strong, and Kami and Piccolo both shared half of their power post split, they'd be way too strong... doesn't work.

So either the "diminished by half" was more a way of saying the power was split in two parts, or the Original Namekian post split was still a work in progress since they separated long ago and the Namekian Elder was factoring in all this improvement he'd make with time.

The difference between Vegeta SSJ and Future Trunks SSJ should be less than the difference between Future Trunks SSJ over Piccolo in the Arc Android.
