Goddamn, this guy's a total beast in the Manga! He knocked CSSB out of Goku. Can't it simply just be a case of an off-guard hit/vital area that made him lose that badly?

Interesting. Though I haven't seen the full chapter I've seen some scans of SSG Goku holding his own against Toppo (or was he suppressed there?)

Yeah Galu gets his ass whooped in SSJ and SSJ3 so he turns SSJG at which point Toppo holds his own causing Beerus to demand him to use SSJB. Galu turns SSJB while blocking his punch and concentrates his aura into his fist but leaves such a big opening that Toppo get a full power hit in and knocks him out.

So where would you place Toppo in comparison to him? CSSJB level?

I'm still not sure about whether Goku was CSSjinB but Toppo is definitely stronger than SSjinB Goku that's for sure.

The SSB ki around his fist kinda indicates he was using the mastered version, since he did something similar when fighting Merged Zamasu.

Easy isn't the word I'd use here. After all, Goku has been beaten by someone who is a candidate to become the next Hakaishin of his universe, and is trained as such. Besides, Future Zamasu is pretty weak compared to Goku Black (who was himself fodder to Vegeta and Goku at that point), so Merged Zamasu not being THAT strong makes some sense.

Honestly I vastly prefer Anime Merged Zamasu having presence and not being beatable by a single saiyan just because they mastered a previous form that wasn't shit to to him previously.

To me it doesn't make sense THEMATICALLY for a FUSION GOD TIER to be so pathetic. It's just so massively underwhelming its hard to really care about the fight involving him.

Well to be fair in the anime he was kinda the same. He ended up being overpowered by SSJB's (one of them with resolve hax though), and got overpowered by a 2x multiplier. I'd reckon the light of justice power up was beyond his natural limits.

I don't take those stuff seriously as it's just the way for Toei to make the heroes looks good but the end result is same. Merged Zamasu is just strong for them and they need Vegito as the moment.

He wasn't overpowered. KK Goku just surprised him.

They also made it clear Merged Zamasu was just playing with the saiyans with how Vegito just casually destroyed the holy wrath attack that gave the individual saiyans massive trouble but actually had difficulty with Merged Zamasu when it became an H2H fight.

Yeah he's similar to KK Goku imo until he got that mutated arm. Vegetto destroyed a Holy Wrath attack with one hand and was stated to have gained a massive increase in ki even after Trunks saw Goku's Kaioken, so it's just mutated Zamasu that dwarfs KK Goku

Zamas wasn't all that impressive in the anime, to be honest. I'm note even sure how you can make that argument. I'm the manga he seemed much more impressive. There was no doubt it took no less than a Potara Fusion to defeat him and then of-course an evolved transformation of an existing one.
