Zamas wasn't all that impressive in the anime, to be honest. I'm note even sure how you can make that argument. I'm the manga he seemed much more impressive. There was no doubt it took no less than a Potara Fusion to defeat him and then of-course an evolved transformation of an existing one.

In the anime he received no real damage from any of the single saiyans but in the manga even before "mastered super saiyan blue" Goku could put a hole in Merged Zamasu with his SSB kamehameha.

Anime Merged Zamasu could contend physically with Vegito Blue. Manga Merged Zamasu was made to look like a joke by Manga SSB Vegito despite Manga Vegito lasting for an even shorter amount of time.

Manga Merged Zamasu also seemed to have no original attacks of his own. He just copied shit like telekinesis, throwing katchi katchin blocks like Shin, Janemba's portal shit, Buu's human extinction attack, etc... whereas Anime Merged Zamasu had quite a few original attacks.

He did Vegeta and Trunks over-powered his attack. And even Goku did.

I thought it was quite obvious the reason why Goku blew a hole through Zamas was so Zamas could see whether his regeneration was still working. He wasn't even taking that seriously. He was moving way too fast for any of them to even see him.

He got smashed by dead armed KK Blue Goku.

But I thought Merged Zamas was ass in the anime and manga. Black made the arc interesting.

I don't think that really hurt him at all. Just disrupted that halo thing and he destabilized as a result (probably due to the immortal character + non immortal character fusion side effects finally taking effect).

But I thought Merged Zamas was ass in the anime and manga. Black made the arc interesting.

Eh, I at least enjoyed the mental breakdown into insanity Anime Merged Zamasu had. The voice actor helped that come across really well IMO.

Black was definitely more entertaining overall though.

The voice acting for the whole arc was really good. Hax Trunks in the anime and Vegetto getting boned in both kind of turned me off. Fusion loses its luster when it always fails, but anime Blue Vegetto vs. Mutant Zamas had some alright moments.

I'm alright with Toppo ~ CSSB Goku if anime Toppo is ~ KK Blue Goku.

Its so stupid how its so easy to reach fusion god tier in the manga. Though I guess that also has to do with manga merged zamasu being massively nerfed.

Kaioken Galu overpowered Halo Zamasu in the anime and Toppo's at least on par with him, so don't act as though the anime is devoid of contrived power creep.

Given that how the anime portrayed Toppo as Jiren's lackey, hopefully the manga should portray him better than that as he was portrayed here as a beast already.

After reading the full chapter, it seems Goku wasn't using CSSB. Comparing his leaking SSB aura against Toppo with the lack thereof in his fight with Merged Zamasu and Vegeta's with Beerus shows he was only using regular SSB and at best, Toppo's slightly above it.
