And Piccolo's opinion on the matter is all that matters. He didn't think for a second that regular Gotenks had a chance, everyone else got disproved, so what? Piccolo wasn't proven wrong until the RoSaT and even then Piccolo isn't stupid enough to think that somehow a Gotenks that stayed the same power-wise as pre-RoSaT Super-Saiyan can take-on Super-Boo. Piccolo didn't have anything to go-on by other than feeling Gotenks' Ki, not even his cockiness was shown before Piccolo thought Gotenks might actually be able to pull it off. He did get disproven, but that doesn't change the fact that Gotenks powered-up. You are using non-logic here. It's up-to you to prove that Super-Saiyan Gotenks pre-RoSaT was somehow lower than Goku, and I don't mean making assumptions based on previous events. Which is what you are doing.
