What's worse is that it wasn't even wind yet people see it as that. It was a charged ki shockwave (Kiai; which is practically invisible)... Piccolo even expletively points out it's one of his Demon Clan's techniques. The fandom are bullies.Pyrus said:Overrated:
- East Kaioshin: It's not as commonly noticed, but it happens where he's perceived as Super Saiyan 2 tier due to holding Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan with his magic and surviving a nasty beatdown from Fat Boo. That kind of thinking would work if it wasn't his magic holding Gohan and Boo wasn't clearly toying with him.
- Vegetto: I dread Vegetto debates. He's heralded as the god of the series (because people like to ignore GT). He can do no wrong. He's invincible. You can put him up against anyone and he'll find a way to win because he's goddamned Vegetto. The fanboys of this guy are so hideously biased it's almost a pain to encounter them. Part of it is because he's comprised of Goku and Vegeta, so bias from those guys bleeds into him (the opposite for Gotenks, but we'll get to that later). Any excuse to keep this guy on top of the food chain can and will be used.
- Gogeta: This is basically the same as Vegetto. If it was stated in the manga that Gogeta was a fly compared to Vegetto, you can bet that would be ignored or called hyperbole so he could be placed second only to Godgetto. I can't decide whether his fanboys are worse than Godgetto's or not.
- Broly: The fanboyism used to be so much worse in the mid-2000s.
- Freeza: "He's the tyrant of the universe for a reason." Yeah, maybe until his story arc ended. Move on.
- Pure Boo: Final villain has to be the strongest, so many excuses and literature twisting, yada yada. It isn't bad when you've got a coherent, civil person to debate with, but people (you know who) that can't comprehend basic literary devices and rules should just be ignored.
- Super Saiyan 3 Goku: Same as Pure Boo.
- Tenshinhan: He's bald, stoic, loyal, always training, and farms and plays volleyball with Chaozu. "He held back Cell! omgzzz11!!" Awesome...now give the Shin Kikoho to Yamcha and let the nerfing unfold. I won't even get into the Krillin shenanigans.
Underrated:
- Goten/Trunks/Gotenks: It's pure bias against the characters at times combined with too much bias in favor of Goku. Debates about these characters are often filled with so much twisting and morphing of statements that you'd swear you were in a competition solely for that.
- Post-Boo Gohan: Sure, he's a pretty pathetic shell of his former Ultimate/Cell Games self, but the amount of nerfing I've seen for him in the past has bordered on disappointing. From outright ignoring the GT Perfect Files to simply making up random power placements for him, I think I've seen it all for this guy.
- Krillin: Usually in direct opposition of Tenshinhan bloating.
- Chi-Chi: Because she got one-shotted by wind and never did anything outside of filler/movies, people tend to ignore the rest of her fight with Goku at the 23rd TB, the praise she received, and the implications surrounding her entry into the tournament and even making it to fight Goku. Videl could beat her? Maybe in Universe 8 or something.
I mean, if it really was that unimpressive defeat then nobody woulda been stunned by much less Krillin, Yamcha, and Muten Roshi.
Anyways....

Vegeta - Even though Vegeta's like my favorite character, he gets blowed by fans a little too hard. People act like he was robbed of not receiving every bit of glory when there's reasons for it and downplay Goku on the side.
SSJ2 Gohan - So many praise this Gohan to the ground for being 'badass' so much that it's like they're not really fans of Gohan but what they want him to be.
East Kaioshin - Doesn't deserve any fans.
Underrated
Krillin - Humans in general are underrated in Dragon Ball (except Bulma, Tenshinhan, and #18) but I give it to my man Krillin. He's always got Goku's back since day one yet people keep mocking him for being "useless" and "dying a lot".
Without him Gohan woulda died....
Dabra - He died way too early and was wasted potential that not enough people caught up on.
Raditz - Same as above
Both
Broli - Fanboys act like he's greatest thing since the wheel while haters act like he's the worst thing since the holocaust. Both are equally exaggerating if you ask me.
