Krillin saying the Saiyans were far beyond imagination doesn't mean he couldn't grasp their Chi. That's something you added. The whole point of the warning was that Goku might be biting off more than he could chew. Krillin can tell when someone's Chi is obviously above (he does when Vegeta becomes an Oozaru) someone else's. Krillin's statement implies that Goku's suppressed level is below both of the Saiyans. There's nothing suggest otherwise.

That is exactly what it suggests. They are far beyond imagination, whose imagination? Who made the comment? Kuririn, so they're far beyond his imagination, implying that he cannot accurately gauge their strength level.

The only issue with your analogy is making the false determination that everything deviates from strength. This is false. It's obvious that Kuririn's Ki sensing abilities weren't great during the Saiyan Arc as he suggested that he couldn't phatom Nappa's strength. The key-word is imagination which implies that he can't comprehend the Saiyans, but he knows they're powerful. In addition to Nappa's durability, which made Piccolo think he was immortal, only makes Nappa appear to be much stronger then he actually is.

Even Goku commented on his durability.

Yet Vegeta can accurately state that Goku could defeat Kid Boo if he charged a powerful enough attack.

Vegeta is a much more tailored warrior then Kuririn is. Teen Gohan's battle power at the Cell Games was implied to only be capable of managing something against Innocent Boo, implying uncertainty on Gohan's part, whereas Vegeta knew for a fact that Innocent Boo was nothing to himself.

Which is why you should probably go with the person that uses a scouter when it comes to just how strong nappa is.

Also gohan was uncertain because his power was much closer to buu's than goku and vegeta. That's the implied gap between them.

Kuririn can't comprehend Nappa's strength, yet he can accurately gauge every Ginyu Force members ki, and can tell that Perfect Cell was holding back massively and far stronger than Vegeta. Additionally, Korin, who is far, far weaker than Saiyan arc Kuririn, was able to tell that Goku couldn't defeat Perfect Cell.

So Kuririn saying Nappa's beyond imagination doesn't have to imply he cannot accurately gauge his power.

Only thing that somewhat supports the notion of Nappa being close to Goku is this
