Naruto, how is it?

Road to Ninja was the first Naruto movie the author participated in, so that could be why. They didn't really have much of a plot before that.

Yeah, most manga/anime series - Movies are like that. They come-off more as cash-grabs, but thankfully since Eiichiro Oda has worked on One-Piece movies recently, the trend seems to be changing for the better.

But that was fine, even if it did use a pretty tired plot archetype.

As for the regular series, the anime is shit like any long series. I enjoyed the manga, even if it had it's bad arcs, overly long arcs, and probably ended several hundred chapters after it should have.

I tried to watch the series but it seemed to be fairly childish, at least that is what I recall.

Well in the beginning the characters are children, so they act pretty childish.

I didn't want to post in this thread at first due to possibly getting salty responses, but here's my opinion.

Naruto is one of the worst Shonen. During Part II, the story is full of asspulls and plotholes, and the last Arc is a complete trainwreck and breaks logic to the point where the fundamentals of the series were all thrown out the window. I actually thought Kishimoto had to have been trolling at the very end of the last Arc, that's how bad it was.

The moral of the story is, don't read Naruto (or Bleach for that matter, which is even worse believe it or not).

One Piece master race. That's the GOAT series right there.

Watch anime, skip fillers (except last filler of main filler sequence cuz the second half is canon, annoyingly....bit like that arc in One Piece wjen they explained the drift thing or whatever....calm belt). Naruto manga was one of the first manga I opened a page of and I was like "wtf?". Spirals n shit. Uzumaki rip off.

Has redeeming aspects for sure and you might love it, but then I won't love you.

Yeah it's pretty good, it's definitely one of my favorites. However in my opinion the manga is quite a bit better than the anime but that's with a lot of series. It's worth watching or reading for sure.

That's another reason why I prefer the Naruto Manga.
