@Fantastische Hure so you're excited enough to post itYou're converted.
Luffy's voice suits him well I think. Childish, innocent, slightly stupid-sounding voice.
Gomu gomu and sea king effects don't look bad at all, neither does Buggy's makeup. Fights and the ship getting hit with a cannonball action look promising enough in the trailer. Already looks better than the FMA live-action adaptation.
Not sure about the dialogue between Luffy, Nami and Zoro on the ship, but we'll see..."not a crew" might seem like it belongs in a Nickelodeon TV show with a laugh track and don't remember if Luffy would have said "I'm sensing a little bit of tension", but it doesn't sound bad even if it's not 100% in character. I'd rather it's just slightly different to the manga/anime but makes a good live-action for non-fans than being true to the manga/anime but awkward. The final dialogue between serious Zoro and dumb Luffy was good.
Nothing about the trailer makes me that worried. Thing I'm most worried about is the tone of the show, based on the pre-screening reviews. Luffy is too weird to carry it, but the other characters can balance it out. Watched the trailer 5 times.
Gonna be talk of the schools in September.
