GreatSaiyaman123 said:Honestly, i don't see a way Piccolo could do anything to Trunks here. I have a hard time believing he can even beat Grade 1 Trunks.
GreatSaiyaman123 said:Did he? Cell didn't even mention his name. And the Earthlings weren't one shoted either, nor was Goku.
Six Trails said:Was Piccolo knocked down to the ground like Goku and the Earthlings?![]()
Six Trails said:Don’t see anything that suggests that, and the cover page for that chapter shows Piccolo standing alongside Trunks and Vegeta so...
Saiyan Paladin said:Piccolo is standing up when Gohan transforms as well.
Six Trails said:Evidently Piccolo got a nicer Cell Jr. than Goku and the earthlings did...
I'm failing to see where he's being "shat on at every turn". Nowhere in the fight is Piccolo shown being completely overwhelmed. He is only slightly more scuffed than Trunks and Vegeta while Goku and the Earthlings are in awful shape.GreatSaiyaman123 said:More likely than him being strong enough to indeed hold his own given how he gets shat on at every turn. Standing means little to nothing when your opponents didn't even knock out tired ass Goku.
So why aren't the Earthlings and Goku standing?GreatSaiyaman123 said:Base Vegeta was standing for a good while against Pure Boo. And Gohan was against Recoome. Oh and Pocus against Vegeta, Kaioshin against Majin Boo... I could go on this all day. It's very easy to stay on your feet when your opponent is barely trying.
We never see Piccolo being knocked down in the first place, so you saying he "had the energy to pick himself up" is just making things up. There's a very clear difference in how he is portrayed compared to Goku and the Earthlings.GreatSaiyaman123 said:Really? Cause i could swear all the Jrs where playing. Goku was beaten to the ground and Kuririn and the others were unconscious. Pratically the only difference between Goku's perfomance and Piccolo's is that Piccolo has the energy to pick himself from the ground.

^ Wouldn't Piccolo standing alongside Trunks and Vegeta suggest he's closer to them than Goku?![]()
He should've still had a significant portion of his Ki even at that point, probably no less than 40% based on the latter portion of his fight against Shello still being fairly even, unless you believe shooting a volley of Ki blasts was somehow more taxing than a Kamehameha because plot.GreatSaiyaman123 said:Earthlings are as fragile as glass. Goku has literally no energy left to do anything.
Cell had given the order for his children to stop playing around prior to #16's speech to Gohan though. Whilst you could say the fact that the humans were still alive disproves this, it would seem to suggest that they were at least displaying their full power and not outright going for the kill. If Piccolo were complete trash, it's doubtful he'd be able to get up and would be in the same position as Galu and the fodder trio. The cover implies he's doing better, although worse than Vegeta and Trunks (He's clearly doubling over on the shot). Tough to tell whether Piccolo really is closer to them than to Goku, given how the Jrs were playing around.
