What's this forum's stance on this? I'm a believer of Base > Piccolo.

You can have Piccolo>Base if you use BOD's theory about SSJ being additive and kaioken not being useable by high PLs.

But he didn't change his demeanor when it was revealed Piccolo was joining. He really wanted to fight Goku and Piccolo would have stood in his way.

I dunno, I have a feeling that Vegeta would have used Super Saiyan if it was necessary in order to fight Goku.

I'm a firm believing of Piccolo >>> Base Saiyans. The only way that I can see the other being possible is if there was a retcon of Cell Games Piccolo's power.

I think it's just an awkward approach on the author's part in trying to show how strong their regular state is nowadays. It's been quite a while since they've done anything of note in base and he wants to show their progress. He just does it in the most awkward way possible.

From what I can see, the boys attempting to fight 18 in base and not doing so badly is the best indicator of where the base powers are at. Whether 18 is stronger or the boys are, they should be in some general vicinity of each other.

Also, Vegeta declaring he would win the tournament in base with 18 standing literally mere feet away from him seems to suggest he'd probably win.

Piccolo is a whole different story. Piccolo held his own against a Cell Jr while a fatigued MSSJ could not. Even if the author is attempting to retcon, I am not able to accept it.

did their power levels even increase at all in those 7 years, majin vegeta was said to be the same lvl as cell gaymes ss2 gohan


but there is also evidence that base saiyans>piccolo
taking freeza>base saiyans into account i say piccolos power level drastically fell due to namek fusion being temporary and him not training and now he is below zarbon tier

freeza>base saiyans>zarbon>piccolo
this is the most logical conclusion

Only Vegeta and I are stronger in our normal forms than Piccolo now.
He's still stronger than Gohan, Goten, and Trunks.

Goten and Trunks being ~ #18 can be explained by the fact that the suit lowered their power a lot

Kaioshin at the Tenkaichi Budokai and Babidi's Spaceship are like two totally different characters.
