Piccolo v Base Saiyans (Boo Saga)

Base Saiyans being stronger than Piccolo is slim to none.

Piccolo managed to fare better against the Cell Jr's than a fatigued SSJ Goku did. Not only that, but the Kids aren't that far weaker than the Adults, and the Kids were only around 18's power in Base. Piccolo wasn't around when Vegeta made the statement that he would win in Base.

But it always makes me wonder, what were Dabra/Babidi sensing in the Base Saiyans then?

Clearly not their SSJ power as they sent out Pocus to battle.

They likely didn't sense the way any other Ki sensors sense since we are shown they cannot sense Ki in that manner. They likely used magic to divine their strength but didn't know the true depths of their power

Piccolo was not around when Vegeta said he'd still hold the advantage in base.

But he didn't change his demeanor when it was revealed Piccolo was joining. He really wanted to fight Goku and Piccolo would have stood in his way.

I think this is a good point. I don't know if I buy supreme Kai>piccolo which means base goku and vegeta>Piccolo

but if vegeta doesn't think piccolo would stand in his way of fighting carrot cake then I'm gonna go with base vegeta>piccolo

He didn't know. He was surprise that Goten and Trunks turn into SSJ and he was not mad at them unlike Gohan.

Interesting. So we can figure Goku would've gone Super Saiyan if he needed to, and then Vegeta would've thrown out the rule because Kakarrot did it.

Vegeta saying he'll beat everyone (including Goku, who he hasn't seen for 7 yrs) isn't exactly proof of anything, either.

You can say Vegeta beating Goku is conjecture but he knows everyone else's power, so the rest would still stand.

Gohan proposed the rule to not become SSJ in the tournament and he knew Piccolo would participate. Why he proposed this rule if he knew the Saiyans would have no chance against Piccolo or # 18?
