When May Chang helps Scar escape the Elric by blowing up some pipes - causing smoke to cover the battlefield, I can’t stand the PIS from Ed and Al. Al is acting like he can’t breathe in the smoke despite being a fucking suit of armour, resulting in Scar escaping. Smh.

Could be that the smoke seeping through the armour could damage Al's seal.

Ed being reluctant to attack Envy because of the "people" inside of his monstrous body.

That is a core theme of his morality though, as he'd consider it hypocritical if he were to use or manipulate others' lives for his own gain when that was what resulted in his and Al's losses in the first place.

Whilst definitely a flaw in Father's plan, it is an excusable one when considering that in he and Bradley's minds, regular people discovering about their plans would be negligible when the unanimous support of the military/governmental council they control would just quickly shut them down quick enough, or Father could simply just kill them himself and have the government provide a cover up.
