Raditz expected Goku to be able wipe out everyone with Oozaru, despite meeting a Piccolo. He also knows Goku's power. I think this is a strong sign that Oozaru Goku should be a respected power. I just have a hard time seeing him one shot material for Grandpa Gohan with a statement like this.

That's why it makes sense for it to be a primal instinct of sorts. Raditz even hints towards it when he chastises Goku for losing his tail, saying that he's fitting in as an earthling. Goku lost his Saiyan instincts when he hit his head.
All Saiyans have primal instincts to depopulate worlds to be able to sell to the highest bidder? How's that make sense? They have advanced technology do they not?

The anime implies that the reason he's been able to fit in is because he hasn't been going on Oozaru rampages, whereas Viz seems to imply more what you are saying... We might need some CHATGPT to the rescue.

Raditz is considering the average human, like the first one that he encountered.

The context about earth is pretty clear. It's a weak planet and Piccolo is obviously an anomaly given that Raditz initially assumed that he must be Goku. Unless you mean to imply that BoDB Goku is less than 10x weaker than BoZ Piccolo I think this point has lost all meaning.

No, they have an instinct to kill off anyone that threatens them. They love battle and live to fight. It's a trait they are born with, and imagine how Goku would have been if he didn't hit his head and become "human". All of the Saiyans we saw loved destruction. And obviously when they turn Oozaru they lose all reason and destroy everything. Why do you think Raditz lost his mind when he noticed Goku's tail was gone?

Yeah, it's a fragile planet. And Piccolo IS an anomaly. He's without a doubt, by far the strongest person on the planet. And that's because he's a Namek, as Raditz seems to not know.

So why would Raditz expect him to not REMEMBER his mission. What mission?

Raditz also expected Goku to remember himself, so it seems more like Raditz thinks that Goku will instinctively recognize him even though Goku likely never met him before.

Yeah, how can a baby remember all these things on it's own? And a primitive species like the Saiyans as well? It really might be instinct but it might be mind control, I better check what the anime said again.

The Japanese manga quote might shed some light on it if we can get it translated.

I don't trust AI to do it honestly. I don't have an approach lol, it would just be nice to know what the real quote is here.

This reminds me of the DBM fanfic where Kakarot became a psycho for being alone for so long. Idk if this is the official timeline of the fanfic’s, but apparently it only had been a few years since the Saiyans started sending infiltration babies. Toriyama does say they had a low survival rate and this was the Saiyans’ way disposing of their weaklings.

Raditz probably expected Goku to recognize him either because he’s family or because of the armor.

and in later work, AT suggests that Goku is much older, right?

Yeah but he also says Goku wasn’t meant to destroy the Earth at all which is even more confusing.

I just tried translating it with AI and the results were horrific lol
Which AI did you use? I wonder if DeepSeek is any good for this. We should use what Ducas usually uses he seems to get good results with his thing.

How’s that work? How can a baby remember armor they’ve seen for 2 seconds or how to instantly recognize family?

Goten, Trunks, Gohan, Kid Goku didn’t act like grown men

Half bloods and an amnesiac. They’re different from Saiyans on a lot of aspects. Bad argument.

If 5 year olds can conquer planets on their own, I’m sure a Saiyan can remember things that he learned as a kid. That’s literally what the story says, that he should know Raditz and his mission.

Goku was a baby. He wasn't learning anything man lol

How can he remember and recognize if he can’t learn?

The info was there on his head. How did any Saiyan baby ever come back if most, if not all, grow up like this?
