Raditz Varying Levels

Raditz not knowing about ki amp has some interesting implications. How is that even possible?

It shouldn't be. Perhaps ki amp is only for the super elites. Vegeta, Ginyu Force, Freeza.

Yeah, it's crazy to think that someone in Freeza's army isn't aware of this.

If we could rewrite it, I'm sure we'd make him be in shock by the amount of ki amp.

A nice line for Goku's Kamehameha! It's as strong as Vegeta's Galick Gun! Perhaps...

Not even just Freeza's army, but a Saiyan... 1 out of 4 remaining Saiyans. Raditz should be extremely familiar with Vegeta's abilities. Even Nappa had an attack that had amp.

Yeah. Which totally ends the idea that Enraged Gohan isn't over Piccolo in the Vegeta Arc. People keep trying to downplay Gohan there.

Ok so here's a checklist of Raditz varying levels.

1- His initial power that tanks Piccolo's unamplified blast. He omega level tanks it, which puts Raditz at least at 2x the blast. Even though Goku and Piccolo have access to more power by removing their weights, there isn't any real confidence in defeating this level of Raditz, even with their full power. They still need a miracle, this is important to be aware of.

2. The power he uses against Goku and Piccolo once they remove their weights. Goku and Piccolo are both shocked at the new power Raditz has showcased.

3. Raditz blocks the Kamehameha, Goku is shocked by it, but perhaps this is just one of those situations where they don't know the full extent of the power of the individual.

4. Raditz dodges the Special Beam Cannon. Piccolo is clearly shocked by Raditz speed, which doesn't make sense since he's been exposed to it already. So this can only mean Raditz has increased his speed.


Special Beam Cannon >= Raditz (Full Power) > Raditz (Powered Up) > Kamehameha ~ Raditz (Initial) > Goku/Piccolo W/o Weights > Goku/Piccolo W/ Weights

Initial Raditz - 1,000

Yeah, that’s one issue I’m running into.
75/100 is not enough of a gap for Piccolo and Goku to be so desperate.

They gotta be like 66% max.

Hmm, in the anime it seems like Goku wasn't expecting Piccolo to be this strong. So for there to be any shock, Piccolo probably needs to be a bit stronger than his previous self for Goku to assume it's his full power I'd say. So that factors into the ratings here. Goku can be 75% of Raditz, assuming that Piccolo at 50% won't be enough. I think they have a bit more confidence after. You gotta think there's a reason Raditz ups his speed, he probably wants a more dominant edge of power here.

They are stated to have been training themselves desperately.

Also, I think Raditz is not using his full power to block the Kamehameha, it doesn't seem to be necessary here. Raditz is surely not using his full speed to escape, which means it's quite possible he isn't using his full power.

After avoiding the SBC, Raditz says he's done with playing around. I don't think he was full power against the Kamehameha.

It could just mean that he was taking them more seriously now. He went from giving them a beat down to being about the kill them with a blast.
