Gonna watch movie 3 now. Now it features Chopper as their most recent member and it seems he isn't so fit in the crew yet.

Do the movie villains mirror those seen in the series? For example Bear King kind of reminded me of Wapol. Even the way he was defeated was identical to that of Wapol lol

I think yeah, some movie vilillains do possess some traits that resemble that of canon vilains. There's also a blatant example of this later on but will avoid it not to spoil it.

But that still doesn't extend to all movie vilains, if my memory isn't failing me. There's some that have very unique fights and ways in which they are disthroned.

So m3 starts off in nearly an identical way. Straw Hats have some random treasure map that is supposedly legendary. Not a good sign.

Why is there always some kid with a sad backstory? The repetition is impossible to ignore.

Luffy, Zoro and Sanji getting stuck due to Luffy's obesity is the epitome of retardation. This movie has been fucking terrible.

yeah, this movie seemed repetitive and had some moronic plotlines,.like the one highlighted above. lol at Luffy's obesity getting them stuck. that was funny and kinda ridiculous. gotta give it a 3/10

average score -- 2/10

Now onto movie 4

But in all honesty, this movie featured a good character development from Chopper, plus it was funny to see Zoro and Sanji fighting 'reverse' opponents, and some gags were on point, like Usopp's boomerang having no "turning back". I'll raise my rating to 4/10, so average score -- 2.5/10

Zoro and Sanji's fights were once again plagued by them not being at full power at the start. At least for Zoro, he has been injured before he has been able to engage an enemy in all of the films so far. It just makes them seem incompetent for the sake of bringing them down to their opponents' level.

Planning to watch M4 either tn or tmrw. Apparently it's 1hr 35min long which is far more substantial.

Finished it. The movie for the first time had a more interesting vilain from those silly ones of the first 3 movies that were Buggy-like tier and I liked the adventurous vibe it featured with the whole race, making the plot at least more captivating than the former ones. The new character introducced kinda of gave an Ace's vibe, slightly so. Still, featuring another kid with a sad backstory fell on repetition again, and the last fight was kinda unoriginal with it resembling Crocodile's. The gags seemed on point to me though, although yeah, much like SSJ2 said, Luffy's retardation sounds pretty annoying at times in the anime.

Overall, a mean score, 5/10.

Yea bored as hell. After watching real TV I can't get myself to watch that shit. I'll watch Strong World, Film Z and the newest film.
