I'd say it's likely because she was there. Everything we've seen so far has implied that they are both around equal to one another. Kaido has definitely been hyped up as the strongest man alive after WB's death so he's probably slightly ahead of her.

1002 was little more than a generic fight sequence, and one that makes it apparent Kaido's Magikarp form is more of a hindrance than an asset with how open he is at many points to the extent comparative fodder like Killer can prove a threat. Gamma Knife seems to have been plot nerfed or Kaido's organs are ridiculously durable in their own right (which is contrived to say the least) when even if Law missed his heart, he certainly seemed to strike something important. Also, Luffy tanking the fire breath through sheer willpower shows how nauseating his hax training gains are and how much of a disappointment Kaido is as a genuine threat. .

Was surprised that Big Mom actually admitted they had made a mistake. Still, that chapter made it evident that this group has little chance of succeeding unless they get some bs plot boost. The stage has already been set for Zoro to inflict some serious damage on one of them, so I guess I'm excited to see that.

1003 could have been a positive but in typical Oda fashion he had to use Kaido's hybrid form as mystery bait. We really need to wait a week to see this?

Once again, Gear 4th's stamina drain only comes into effect when it's relevant to the plot despite how much he's been spamming it thus far. Also, of course Killer got back up despite being fodder. As though you'd expect the Yonko to be competent at this point .

The CP0 scene was okay. Other than that, the chapter was a mediocre battle scene with more pointless mystery bait.

1004 is a premium example of why the mystery bait in OP is so terrible. The fight with Kaido was finally beginning to gain some momentum, and his long awaited hybrid form was even teased. 1004 then has to cut away from the battle completely, and use further silhouette use/mystery bait at the end of the chapter. I don't even understand the point anymore. It's not like it's creating suspense when we know Luffy is going to win this battle one way or another.

Along with how stupid it is Oda's trying to provide a sense of mystery where there needn't be any, the chapter was as a whole just a mediocre fight scene. Nothing to say about it, other than the damage Nami can do with a slight use of Thunder Tempo against Ulti seems inconsistent when the most damage it could do to Brulee was temporarily knocking her out. Even fazing Ulti seems questionable without making Thunder Tempo just seem ridiculously overpowered.

Yeah, exactly why Nami's Clima Tact seems way too overpowered if she can temporarily knock her down without charging Thunder Tempo much.

Yea she should only be capable of that with Zeus. Would be different if there was an explanation/reasoning for her getting stronger since WCI.

Oda really wasted all of 1005 to prove that Sanji is a cuck

Yeah, over half the chapter was spent proving how useless Simpji has been throughout the entirety of Part 2 .

Also surprised Oda didn't bother displaying Momonosuke's perverted nature at him having to hide under Yamato's clothes. Robin and Brook getting some spotlight is the one redeeming element of the chapter, though it's nothing substantial for their characters when all it'll amount to is beating some one-dimensional spider thot.

Pretty fucking funny that she needs to use brass knuckles in a world where Haki is widespread

I mean, she did switch it out for a staff once Brook and Robin arrived at least. She probably only brought out the brass knuckles as there's no reason to waste Haki on a guy who'd get taken down by anyone that doesn't have a Y chromosome 2.

How did Kinemon cut Kaido? Kinemon was easily done in by Law, who was subdued by Doflamingo, who was no match for the G4, the same attack that at most took Kaido back to sobriety...

I had expected more from chapter 1000, but Luffy punching Kaido down like that was cool. It seemed to have a bigger effect than all of Luffy's previous G4 attacks, so he apparently got a humongous boost. I expect Zoro to at least give Kaido a taste of his blade before going down or fighting someone else.
