Maybe. It also seems like Kaido is in his awakened form at the end.

Also, would have thought he had FS?

Wasn't it confirmed that he did? I just figured he never used it since he could just tank everything without taking damage.

There wasn't. I figured it would be a given for the Yonko.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure Big Mom doesn't have it. I always thought it's possible that Kaido and Big Mom were so strong that they didn't need every form of the advanced Haki. We know for sure that Kaido doesn't have advanced Armament Haki at least.

But I'm happy that it's been confirmed that Kaido does posses more than just Adv. CoC.

If your gripe is that Luffy might be a literal reincarnation of Joyboy, then I’d agree. I don’t like where Oda might be going with this based on that last panel.

Yes that's it. I'm cool with Luffy inheriting the will of the D clan, but if he or his fruit result in being Joyboy reincarnated, that will ruin everything for me. It always felt like Luffy had some wacky paramecia that he mastered using his own genius ability. Now we have a prophecy claiming Luffy will be the one to defeat Kaido after 20 years, and he might be Joyboy on top of that. I can't stand borderline predetermined events in a story.

I'm more inclined to believe Joy Boy is the devil fruit itself.

The other thing in this chapter is that Luffy's Fruit is probably not actually the Gomu Gomu no Mi and that it's fruit that was renamed. I've seen speculation that it's a Resin fruit. Kaido even says it does things that rubber can't. There's a subtle hint to this in 1039's cover page. Also it would explain why luffy can catch fire and other things.
