He's able to live so long because of some herb? Does he have the herb somewhere? Will he give it to the others?
You know for some reason I never thought of that.I never understood why Toriyama wrote Roshi to be immortal but Baba, Tsuru, and Tao are all still alive despite being +200 years old like Roshi.
Toriyama said Saiyans have naturally longer lifespans than humans unless they die in battle and they quickly become old after 80. Seems like average humans don't live longer than real life people do, it's just people like Roshi and Baba that are the exceptions.I think DBZ characters just have long lifespans. Like how old masters and monks live hundreds of years thanks to meditation, Qi and all that spiritual stuff.
Toriyama stated they age slowly and do not need to eat (although they still need water).I wonder if #17 & #18 have longer life spans too.

There's also that Super filler in the episode where Kuririn unlocked that Zen state that states that Roshi is lengthening his lifespan with magic herbs. Might not be written by AT, but it's an explanation and it has more authority than stuff like GT and the movies anyways.
