Book-wise, he's easily one of the better characters. His strong, moral code, military exploits and the loyalty he inspires all make him the king Westeros needs. Without spoiling much, A Storm of Swords serves as a good example of showing his moral fortitude and how it can overcome his desire to do any means necessary, a thin line separating he and Tywin (provided Davos is around to reinforce this). His reflection on Renly's passing is another good example of this and his development as a whole, showing how beneath his exterior, he's a man with remorse for the actions he commits in spite of his goals. The later books then help show his tactical side and how he has adapted to playing the game of thrones well.

Show-wise, he was ruined by Season 5 causing him to do some out of character decisions and cutting his story in favour of his plot being given to Jon, though he was still one of the better show characters with how much worse fan favourites were treat in the later seasons.

Rewatching The Sopranos and Neon Genesis Evangelion, as well as watching Batman: The Animated Series. Not reading anything currently after having just finished the 2nd part of A Song of Ice and Fire: A Dance With Dragons.

How are you liking Batman TAS? I heard it was good.

Also what do you think of this movie? My favourite Adam Sandler movie, l0l.

Fantastische HureBeing an episodic series, it can be pretty hit or miss. Thus far, I've seen the first 16 episodes and out of them, Heart of Ice was definitely the best one. It does a great job at making Mr. Freeze quite a sympathetic and understandable villain (even better when learning that in previous incarnations, he was just some 1-dimensional joke villain). Unfortunately, the writers couldn't do the same magic when it comes to their show-only villains such as the guy with the underground child slave army, with the show also failing to make Penguin a competent threat (once again showing how great the version of him played by Danny DeVito in Batman Returns was).
Nevertheless, it's still a decent action cartoon that did a lot of things right that family-friendly entertainment today just can't replicate when it comes to balancing various tones and tackling mature themes.

Haven't seen the film, though the scenes of the old lady coming out in front of the car and Adam Sandler getting mad at the ball were pretty funny.

Pocket-Gog~ Yes. The Frey Wedding becomes known as the Red Wedding throughout Westeros around either the end of the third book or start of the fourth.

Top 5 OP abilities in TLA? I suspect the Avatar State, Bloodbending, and Toph's Earthbending would be a part of it.

#1 - Energy Bending/Avatar State (Essentially the everything in one abilities)
#2 - Lightning bending (Treat as an OHKO move throughout Seasons 2 and 3)
#3 - Combustion Man's Explosions (Have incredible range and a direct hit could topple most opponents that aren't the top tiers. Its weakness is apparent, but only really a problem if its user lowers their guard.)
#4 - Bloodbending (Would be far higher if not for the limitations of a full moon being required and having seemingly less range than combustion attacks and Avatar State bending. The variant of it in Korra would be easily a contender for #1.)
#5 - Metal Bending (More precise and deadly than standard Earth Bending and can be used in environments where Toph's conventional Earth Bending wouldn't work)

with it also being revealed he was beaten and berated by Robert at times. I'd say I probably hate Joffrey more though as I have a great disdain towards the abuse of cats, of which book Joffrey is notable for.

I do think it was revealed that Robert only beat Joffrey because Joffrey cut open a pregnant cat and showed the unborn kittens to him. Joffrey deserved it. :tapion2

I agree, though being beaten enough that he lost a tooth isn't really going to help make him any saner, nor did verbally berating his capabilities rather than taking an active effort to help mould him into a proper successor.
There's no arguing for the atrocities Joffrey committed, though it's fair to say Robert's poor parenting didn't do much benefit.

The instrumentals and vocals are great, as expected. The lyrics, on the other hand, are a bit overly simplistic and, whilst this is could work if meant to be explaining the concept to a child, the juxtaposition of the chorus having very occult leanings is quite the tonal whiplash, not to mention nefarious in promoting such when the question of "why can't we have eternal life?" is pretty easy to explain in the context of Christian doctorate that the song is revolving around, such as the necessity to punish atrocities that would never go without permanent punishment in an immortal society. I can see why The Who weren't really that fond of the song.

As far as songs about Heaven and Hell go, this one is far better in all categories: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idn50Xj_CiY

I think that's because the lyrics were written by bassist John Entwistle, whose lyrics leaned towards a more simplistic and comical tone. He also wrote comical songs such as "My Wife" and "Boris The Spider".

That song + The whole album tho :galu

How would you react if Supreme Leader Snoke was actually the guy who tried to sell those death sticks to Obi-Wan :cage2 :cage2

The jazz elements of it are great, though it could've done with a change in structure to make it less repetitive. It isn't that long, however, so it avoids that becoming a major problem.
