Charmander's first-appearance/past?
Or if you also mean Johto there's Charizard Chills.
Or if you also mean Johto there's Charizard Chills.
First appearances don't have the same impact as the exit of a character we've grown to care for. It also doesn't help that my introduction to the Pokemon anime was the first movie, so I was always aware Charmander would remain safe when I watched the series for the first time.Fantastische Hure said:Charmander's first-appearance/past?
Yeah, there's that. I was more referring to the Kanto Arc.Or if you also mean Johto there's Charizard Chills.

Pretty much any moment with James from the dub where he makes an innuendo could take up the whole list, but I'll restrict it to one to make things more interesting.Fantastische Hure said:OK. Here goes a question. Top 10 PokéMon moments from the anime. Can be sad, funny or whatever moments as long as it's memorable you and like it and obviously is your favourite.

Probably. There wasn't any other scene I found sad from the original series at the time or now (there was "Pikachu's Goodbye", but I'd already watched later episodes in the series before I saw it so the impact was lost.)Also is this one of the most saddest/beautiful moments in PokéMon or what? One of the most memorable for sure. The setting is also so gr9. Like the sun-set.

That would be a difficult task, considering I find each of the contrivances within the movies/GT and Super to be all on relatively the same level of terrible as one another. May have to come back to this later.Keedounan said:What about separate lists with Super and non-canon stuff ?
The first film does an excellent job at presenting Rocky as a misunderstood underdog as well as developing the rest of the cast such as Adrienne and Paulie, as well as making a subtle commentary on the corruption of the Boxing organisations (Creed actively going for a match he didn't consider a challenge). Rocky II felt like a natural progression of the previous film, though not as impactful due to being basically more of the same.Gin said:Thoughts on the Rocky series?
Rocky III was easily the most entertaining of the bunch. It was far from as well written as the first film though, with a pretty generic defeat -> montage training -> victory set up, but was so overly 80s with it's aesthetics and music (no Rocky track can beat Eye of the Tiger), cast of grand personalities like Mr. T and Hulk Hogan and good directing making it something I can't help but love. It's not as if it's plot's a complete throwaway though, since it has plenty of highs or lows such as Mick's death or Apollo's character development from rival to friend and Rocky's fall into the same arrogant trap of his popularity and stature that Creed had in the first film making for quite a good take on the Hero's Journey. Rocky IV, whilst having a good soundtrack and decent story points like Apollo's death, was a big step down from the previous films due to having a very similar setup to the previous one (Rocky must face his strongest opponent yet after they somehow lead to his friend's death) as well as having ridiculous aspects such as Paulie's robot that really feel to celebrate aspects that ruin the very concept of Rocky. What was once a story of a poor underdog is now one of a rich pro trying to maintain the status quo. It also doesn't help that the montages are overdone to the point the movie seems to be 50% plot and 50% music video.
Rocky V takes things in an interesting way with Rocky's retirement, but overall had boring execution due to it turning more into a slice of life story about his son, who's nothing but your typical kid protagonist. Absolute snorefest. Rocky Balboa was the concept of Rocky V done right, with him showing his age and presenting a lot more depth to his words than he has since the first movie. I wish Rocky V had just been Balboa with the opening scene of V being maintained before a timeskip. Finally, there's Creed, which seemed to just be a cashgrab. Sure, we saw a new epilogue to Rocky's character in his old age as a broken man, but there's not much more that needed to be added that wasn't already in Balboa.
Rocky - 7/10
Rocky II - 5/10
Rocky III - 6.5/10
Rocky IV - 4/10
Rocky V - 2/10
Rocky Balboa - 6/10
Creed - 2.5/10

Not his fight against Piccolo Jr. at the 23rd Tenkaichi-Budokai or the immediate after-math and all? The anime made that seem really kewl and everyone was surprised how good Kuririn became. Not to mention learnt flying on his own. The anime also had that gr9 after-math, with Master-Roshi reminiscing about first meeting Kuririn (and Goku) at the beginning of the series and to see how far he came, Bulma crying, Goku praising him, Piccolo Jr. himself giving him credit (also through-out the fight) and the whole arena clapping for him.Captain Cadaver said:#1 - His fight with Goku at the 22nd TB, mainly his balloon tactic and grabbing Goku's tail

Don't even like regular Pizza (more specifically, the Tomato sauce on most Pizzas), so no by default.Gin said:Do you like Pineapple on Pizza?
Was a pretty funny movie when I watched it, even if it sticks to the regular formula of basically having Seth Rogan play a character that's basically himself. May need to rewatch it at some point.Fantastische Hure said:Do you like Pineapprle Express?
