Yeah, it makes no sense. They say Luke did this because he's human and humans fail, but that's a mistake beyond human. It's literally being everything you've fought against for no reason.

Have you read the Thrawn trilogy? If yes, would you recomend it?

I read the first two a long time ago, and whilst remembering the key details, I will need to reread them. Coincidentally, my cousin just ordered the trilogy, so I will be able to do so in the near future.
I would highly recommend it and from what I recall, the story it tells would've made far better films than any post-Disney story, or possibly even the original trilogy from what I recall. It has an intimidating villain who puts the main cast on the ropes through sheer intellect rather than space magic, compelling tension in characters who must put aside their animosity to survive with Luke and Mara's adventures and overall did a great job of helping expand the lore with ideas such as clones or the dark history of Dagobah.

She had by far the best development out of any of TCW, starting off as quite a naive and foolish character and gradually becoming more level-headed as the series went on, eventually seeing the flaws of the Jedi and choosing to find her own way of using the Force. This and her questioning of the Order's dogma throughout the series also makes her for more human and relatable than any of the Jedi other than perhaps TCW Anakin (and even he has his prequel storyline bogging him down), with her struggling with many scenarios such as confronting the visualisation of her own doubts on Mortis or feeling a romantic connection with several characters. On top of that, she was one of the few main characters who's safety wasn't assured by the movies, hence making her adventures some of the most engaging.
This all culminates in the 2nd season of Rebels with her not only displaying her interesting stance as a Grey Jedi, but also coming to terms with Anakin's current identity and confronting him, making Twilight of the Apprentice an excellent finale to the season and her character journey. Her being saved by time travel and appearing without context at the end of Rebels was a negative, but moreso on the plot than her character.
The short answer is, she had good development and relatability and didn't make uncharacteristically dumb decisions like most prequel Jedi.

Fisto is mainly there for having a fair bit more personality than the other typical Jedi Masters with his laid back demeanour and general rule of cool with how he was shown in underwater combat in the 2003 and 2008 Clone Wars series. Windu's there since despite the criticism I've said of him prior, he still had more interesting elements to his character than the more typical Jedi, such as his control over the Dark Side with his creation of Vapaad, his personal stance on the peace the Jedi Order maintained clashing with it's traditional ideals or his implied jealousy at Anakin. As for Rahm Kota, his character arc in The Force Unleashed fleshes his personality out far more than the standard, with him having unique qualities such as his suspicion of the clones as well as his loss and regaining of his faith in the Force.

Luke by far as a whole, since even with TLJ destroying Luke's character, he at least had good development throughout the original trilogy which Anakin lacked in the prequels. EU Luke was even better with some of the compelling storylines he went through such as temporarily going undercover by becoming the apprentice of Palpatine's clone, as well as eventually being able to completely balance the Light and Dark within himself.

Haven't really listened to much of them beyond Get Lucky and their work on Interstella 5555 since electronic music can be hit or miss with me, but I'd say they perform their style well and have good aesthetics to their personas.

Yes. Wasn't outstanding, but good for what it was for the most part. Definitely far better than any of the other three Disney canon films, though I'll wait until the Rate thread to go into more detail in case you haven't seen it yet.

I'm gonna watch it today, so it's not gonna take too long until Solo has it's time on the thread.

What were your thoughts on The Clone Wars Movie?

The movie's story was easily the worst part of TCW and a very bad way to start the series off. Along with having a plot nowhere near grand enough to kickstart a series theatrically (Anakin delivering Jabba's infant son back to his dad), we have a whole bunch of idiocy going on such as Anakin's battle tactic of having his squad vertically scale a base where they could be easily sniped or Jabba never questioning Dooku's words thoroughly given his lack of good reputation compared to the entire Jedi Order. I'd say that as long as you know who Ventress is and that Ahsoka is assigned as Anakin's padawan, you can completely skip this and move right into the actual series.
