I'd be inclined to say yes due to aspects such as his existential dilemmas (eg. how Bruce Wayne is his true "mask" and Batman is his true self), his character flaws (eg. treatment of the various Robins and the repercussions of his no kill rule) and how well each of the characters within his stories act as reflections of these elements such as The Joker, Penguin and Clayface offering dark reflections of aspects of his personality and status, Dick Grayson and Terry McGinnis being a representation of succeeding where Batman failed or Jayson Todd and Two-Face representing his failures. There's also the aspect of how crossovers with Superman allow for good comparison between their characters such as Batman representing overcoming powerful threats through more focus on intelligence, resolve and hard work (in some ways, a more moral version of Lex Luthor).
I wouldn't say it's an easy decision to make though, considering a well written version of Superman or Spider-Man can allow for phenomenal stories.

Quite a few fictional works have a pretty cynical view of the way humanity would act in a post-apocalyptic world. Sometimes, it's done in order to have the few acts of kindness by the characters shine brighter, other times it's done because of a genuinely nihilistic vision. What do you think of this? What do you believe would actually happen to humanity if civilization was to fall apart?

I agree with how lightness and morality are utilised in post-apocalyptic series. It's one of the reasons Hokuto no Ken is one of my favourite manga series and why I consider it to be one of the few series where love overcoming adversity is utilised well. As for how things would realistically operate in such scenarios, however, I doubt it'd be quite as optimistic as is portrayed in most media with aspects such as lawlessness, desire to protect the group from outsiders, limited resources, etc. being ones that'd make more morally outstanding and optimistic actions within the minority if considering how destabilised societies or regimes have been throughout history. There's also the question of what would trigger an apocalyptic event too, since each type opens up its own factors.
Overall, the optimistic approach is a necessary moral anchor in such times, though it's unlikely there'd be too many in such a world who'd practice what they preach.

Boiling, at least compared to usual.

Is Padmé the blandest character of the prequels? By how much would you say the deleted scenes improve her character?

No. Padme is one of the more interesting prequel characters with things such as her role forcing her to quickly mature beyond her years and struggling to balance politics with her desire to help those in need, with the former element of her forced maturity linking into how she opens up to Anakin in AotC. The deleted scenes do, however, add more to these aspects.

They're overly verbose for what is very much a visual medium and are one of the main reasons I have no interest in getting current with the arc until Hisoka and the Troupe get more involved.

Did you mean the Chrollo fight? If so, it was more difficult to follow than most, but it can be understood once you get a good grasp on what Chrollo's Sun and Moon ability does.

Don't remember doing so, but I would've either been referring to a specific incarnation of his character or having done so before familiarising myself with the better portrayals of his character, given that prior to revisiting the DCAU my main exposure to him was the Christopher Reeve films.

Very contrived and convenient, particularly for a series as well written as Breaking Bad. It'd be understandable if the cousins were portrayed as thinking with emotions first, but that's the opposite of their cool-headed and efficient characterisation up until that point.
Still, it's far from the biggest problem in the show, that being Walt acting out of character in Season 5 and leaving damning evidence in his bathroom .
