I don't doubt that it will be. I think fans overestimate its importance to the overall story in general.

By the way, you can post spoilers in this thread, even though I left One Piece on hold since Volume 83.

Oda is saving the location of the final road poneglyph, and it's in a place that Roger was at least familiar with. It could make sense for it to be on Elbaf and the Straw Hats will go there after getting the other 2.
