As for how shit Berserk became, I'm generally forgiving toward it since it used to be a literal masterpiece. It also didn't reach farming arc territory.

It's not atrocious per se, but the quality took such a dramatic turn that it's hard to imagine that the Golden Age Arc was a part of the same manga.

Indeed, it was such a sudden change in quality when Shierke came into the picture.

I am also one of those people who think the Tower Arc is inferior yet underrated in comparison to the Golden Age, and excellent in quality in spite of its faults... Ishidoro being the biggest fault by far.

Yeah I personally just can't come to like Guts' new crew. With Casca having the brain of an insect, Ishidoro being some cocky fag, and Shierke being Shierke, it's hard for me to get into it. Farnese and Serpico are okay, but they are nothing too great.

Yeah, the Tower Arc was decent, but not amazing.

I personally don't even put the Golden Age on the same pedestal that most do. It was good, but not the best thing I've ever read.

I really dont like Berserk in general now that I think about it because of the medieval time setting. I feel like the fights were not that enjoyable and I really only enjoyed Guts vs Zodd. The end of the golden age is really the highest point of the manga and its not even that insanely great. Berserk is a really well written series with depth but it really isnt that enjoyable of an anime IMO

I thought it was still enjoyable until the Casca goose chase of which too much was skippable, but as soon as Guts' groupies joined the cast it became apparent the author doesn't give a shit.

The figgts all suck. I just read to see where the plot goes and I like Gatts, Serpico, some other charas a bit and some dialogue. The fighys yho are literally the worst I've read, not that I read loads of action stuff

Yeah, the fight scenes aren't exactly spectacular.

The art, however, is tremendous.
