Super Saiyan 2 multiplier being bigger than LSSJ is pretty stupid imo. Why wouldn't Broly just turn Super Saiyan 2? He sees Gohan can and he's way stronger than Gohan, it just seems inconceivable to me that Broly's LEGENDARY TRANSFORMATION would be outclassed by the standard progression?

The thing is, SSJ2 wasn't a thing yet when Broly was around, only Super Saiyan was there. So it is possible that the LSSJ transformation is outclassed by an ascended Saiyan.

Super Saiyan Grade 3 is a ridiculous boost.

Goku is able to eclipse Semi Cell with his Super Saiyan Grade 3 power. The boost is absolutely tremendous.

Trunks goes from being below 50% of Cell to being far stronger than him.

Grade 3 spans the gap between Grade 2 Trunks and Perfect Cell. Grade 3 Trunks is a solid amount stronger. 2.5-3x boost seems accurate here.

Also, Grade 3 spans the gap of Super Saiyan Goku ( Androids Saga ) to Semi Cell ( Initial )

Super Saiyan 2 spans the gap of Cell powering up, which is implied to be large, but just think about the gap between Super Saiyan Goku to Semi Cell. That's absurd. Even if Goku did get stronger, it doesn't seem implied he powered up majorly here, he's still searching how to go beyond the Super Saiyan.

I think he meant that it took a 2-3x boost for SSJG2 Trunks to get stronger than suppressed Cell, but that aside, he doesn't seem to factor in that Goku has to have made some gains prior to attaining Grade 2/3.

Sure Goku has made some gains, but its still early in the training, Goku's focus is on surpassing the Super Saiyan. If his Super Saiyan power is way over the Androids already what's the point?

And yes SSG3 is 2-3x over SSG2, not Cell.
