Also not a very big deal, but why no Raditz at 1,500?

It’s hard to imagine Gohan being able to cripple Raditz so badly if he was noticeably weaker. Raditz had time to prepare for Gohan’s attack and was unable to respond. You can argue Raditz was in shock over the event in general, but the fact is he didn’t even have time to form a defense.

Yeah I nowadays give Raditz a 1310 battle power due to him saying Gohan surpasses Goku but not himself, but I still don't go with 1500 as I think it's too high.

It’s arguable Gohan would’ve actually killed Raditz if he were stronger. He did some nasty stuff to Nappa despite being a 4,000/2,800 gap there. And as Ahill pointed out, Raditz doesn’t include himself in the statement about Gohan’s power.

I’d say the minimum for Raditz here is 1,300ish; like 1,320-50 or so.

I changed it, but Raditz doesn't need to directly admit inferiority. We saw it in their engagement, Gohan was fast enough that Raditz couldn't defend himself, and strong enough to give him a major injury in 1 blow.

The context of the statement you are mentioning is about Goku's view on Gohan. Goku said that Gohan was only a child so he should be left alone. Raditz was telling Goku that Gohan isn't just a mere child. He doesn't have to mention Gohan surpassing himself.

Either way seems pretty ridiculous to argue that statement if Raditz is a mere 3 points ahead of Gohan.

It's cool that if we assume Gogan's 710 read battle power was the same portion (proportionally speaking) accessible to him during the battle against Vegeta and Nappa, and that his 1307 represents his enraged power much like his 2800 level against Nappa, then we can get to a nice number for full power, non-enraged Gohan during the battle Vs Vegeta and Nappa.

What's the consensus on Kaioken and Kamehameha? Does Kaioken negate the amplification or at least reduce it?

The Kamehameha simply concentrates all the Ki in someone's body into a single point, the Kamehameha amplifies it. I don't see why they'd negate each other.

I think Goku and Vegeta were so even because of Goku being weakened by using Kaio-Ken x3 prior. Explains both how Goku and Vegeta stalemated despite Vegeta not being able to change his Battle Power and how Vegeta survived the Kaio-Ken x4.

Also I think Gohan is too low. Piccolo says Gohan's power is definitely above his own if he just puts his mind into it. His full power should be 2,800.

Mostly out of curiosity here, but is there anything in particular that made you ditch the official numbers for the humans post 1 year training and use your own?

I have Gohan at 2,500 when he kicks Nappa, I just haven't put that on my list yet. 1,500 is what Gohan and Krillin are said to be on Namek, so that is where they should be as a baseline. Gohan never demonstrated power that high until the moment I just mentioned.

Just preference. I don't like having Yamcha so far above the Saibamen. Krillin is said to be 1,500 on Namek. Chaozu I used the Daizenshuu number because it's pretty well irrelevant.

I think that's a tough question. I think you could say that Freeza upped his power based on Piccolo and everyone's reactions at Freeza doing so (kicking the blast) but again characters get surprised everytime (e.g Zarbon being surprised Vegeta deflected his blast while he had already knowledge on Vegeta's power).

But in spite of that, I like the theory that Freeza, when kicking Vegeta's blast, accessed the most his initial power could provide him, which also coincides with Freeza fighting against Goku with no hands. Basically, he access that power in a pitch, rapidly increasing his effort but comes back to his most relaxed, post speed up level when massacring Vegeta.

Freeza displays 3 powers imo:

--> initial power (to which Vegeta thinks he has a chance... that's also the power he uses initially against Goku, when underestimating him and gets kicked in the face)

--> post speed up (power in which he vanishes from Vegeta's sight... that's the same power used when warming up vs Goku)

--> no hands (power when he fights with no hands vs Goku and kicks Vegeta's blast... most power accessible to him).

That's how I like to see it.
