Dragon Ball Super easily has the largest amount of plot holes, inconsistencies, contrivances and other problems in its writing than any other part of the franchise, especially in the anime. That said, let's have a thread to list them.

So we're not wasting time making posts comparable to a college thesis (or an infamous 3,000+ word appeal) listing as many of the nigh-infinite problems as we can come up with, we'll limit it to 1 instance per post. Let's make it akin to one of the forum games and try and make hundreds of pages with this thread

I'll start off:

The Super Saiyan God ritual is a cheap contrivance. Power ups got so cheap as the series went on that now all it takes to surpass all previous limits is to have 6 Saiyans hold hands.

Zen-Oh only allowing a benevolent wish to be made by the ToP winner made the entire arc meaningless as no matter what happened, it meant no consequences would come about from this arc whatsoever.

Good thing the manga never adds this contrivance.

Other Zamasu saga, which is immensely problematic in it's own right, you can throw this whole series in the trash. When I get to it I'll rewatch GT, I have a feeling I'll actually like it the 2nd time around.

#17 can reach SSB tier from give or take a decade of smacking jabroni poachers and still got killed by Pure Boo's attack, or never tried to stop Boo for that matter.

SSG is treat as something that no mortal can achieve through mere training, yet anyone worth giving a damn about surpasses it by the time of the ToP, divine training/Ki or not.

Goku refrains from using SSJ3 or SSJG/SSJB whenever his stamina becomes an issue, but he and Vegeta recharge their stamina in a matter of in-universe minutes just from standing still. Also, he spammed Blue just to beat the wolves or Kochiariator.

I guess you could argue Goku may assume Monaka's race may have some weird shedding ability if you really wanted to plug the hole.

Freeza's motivations also went from wanting to destroy the Saiyans due to paranoia, and were retconned to being asked by Beerus to do so.

I guess you could argue Goku may assume Monaka's race may have some weird shedding ability if you really wanted to plug the hole.

Perhaps you'd have a point if Beerus' nails weren't exposed too...

Having Android 17 a two episodes dedicated about him as if he was a popular character making it's return. Even worse that a manga chapter for him and yet the talk about Frieza joining the tournament was off screen.

SSJB Vegetto overwhelmed Merged Zamasu and can't even blow him up with his full power attack. He even announced that blast was the end, lol.

Less than a hundred people's Ki + Goku/Vegeta's = Strong enough to destroy Zamasu's body.

Trunks harnessing his anger through the SSJ Rage form didn't have any build-up to it, making it a shallow way to keep the plot moving.
