GT is absolute filth. Defending it is idiocy.

I PERSONALLY prefer Super due to having better fight scenes and better new characters and plots in recent episodes (although being a combined product of and Toei-ism, it falls apart in some vital areas), but can fully accept the arguments for GT being better. I hate GT and think being better than that is no relief, and not proof of being something other than trash, but if people like it, they can go ahead. I still prefer Goku vs. Paikkon to GT though

Defending Super in its entirety is idiocy too, but at least not to the same extreme imo.

Eh, I've gotten used to crappy looking but fluid animation in Naruto

Goku vs. Hit >> Generic ki blast spam garbgo imo.

Again, not saying the animation in Suparar is good. It's fucking garbo outside of episodes with a lot of fight scenes. But it never makes me fall asleep like GT's M2 episodes or 5/7ths of the Shadow dragons

Once episode 5 hit I've seen it in every episode since (that I've watched)

There was a sequence in which base Goku was holding Freeza's tail and they were exchanging dialogue or something, so it wasn't just one bad frame it was like 15-30 seconds of just a terribly drawn visual. It was at that point that I decided to quit that arc.

That animation is objectively far better than GT's Z-filler tier fights. It's actually slowed down from its original release and still contains more and rich movement than mostly any episode of DB not in the movies, so if it looks bad to you I can't help you

There's a slew of things to criticize in Super over GT (Goku's characterization being one of them ) but fight scenes ain't one of 'em. GT in its entirety produced not one fight worth a SHIT

The characters don't seem to be shaded very well. They all look like flat drawings on ms paint.

I mean I'd rather everything look like this and still animate fluidly rather than just spam punches, but in a weekly TV series I can see why Shida would choose this type of method over going overboard by combining the two. GT usually had horrid movement and also often looks like shit.

Even from the MOVIE battle of gods Vegeta's hair here looks lazy at best, but the sequence is like 2 seconds long and still moves better than Great ol'd Turd.

But when I discuss bad visuals, I'm not saying a bad frame for one second, no, I mean the whole thing just generally looks like shit. GT seems to get the characters right far more often than Super. Just my o.

Right, but in both frames the characters are merely throwing punches and kicks while the previous frame showed dynamic camera work and movement richer than either example I posted just now. If you don't like quicky-fleeting moments with great movement which isn't looking good frame by frame, be my guest, but it's FAR harder to pull off the one I posted in the other page than simply animate good looking stills throwing punches. Just my 2 cents.

Super has a ton of bad visuals that take away from the series. I don't have a prob with someone putting Super on the same level as GT or someone having GT above Super or vice versa tbh. Lol

GT's fights are considered almost unanimously worse than Z's which came before it, so I don't think the time argument does much for it

Considering that an anime-only sequel series lasting for over 60 episodes is uncommon and GT never had issues submitting an episode on time each week, I doubt budget issues plagued it any more than any of the other series. Hell, trash animators like Yukio Ebisawa who ruined many episodes of Z with awful animation weren't even in the GT staff. GT's fights sucking balls was because just a bad effort by people who only wanted to keep the DB cash cow alive after Toriyama's removal from the franchise.
