Who wins?
Lightsworn said:Since the idea of Zenkais wasn't even invented yet until much much later, the author wouldn't expect us to interpret that Goku randomly got a power boost with no explanation. I think the fact that Yajirobe says that Goku was the strongest guy he ever met and that Yajirobe was only the toughest guy he ever met would probably mean that he didn't surpass Tien. He could outlast him though thanks to his toughness.
So while the manga was being released, he expected us to somehow know about the idea of Zenkais with out it even being introduced? While writing he thought "I haven't introduced Zenkais yet but I that's how I want my readers to interpret the scene anyway"?Animelover5487 said:Lightsworn said:Since the idea of Zenkais wasn't even invented yet until much much later, the author wouldn't expect us to interpret that Goku randomly got a power boost with no explanation. There is no proof that Toriyama wasn't keeping Goku secretly being a Saiyan in the back of his mind while writing Dragonball. Krillin even said on Namek that Goku always used to get stronger after suffering a tough fight.
it makes sense, especially retroactivelyLightsworn said:So while the manga was being released, he expected us to somehow know about the idea of Zenkais with out it even being introduced? yes there isLightsworn said:There was never an indication he got any stronger anyway
why was the king-piccolo sit. so bad, if master-muaito was weaker than goku???Lightsworn said:Roshi's quote just means mutaito > Roshi really, I don't know how you're getting that from his quote
it's fairly obvs to me so yeLightsworn said:I've read it already, but you're just coming to your own subjective conclusions based on their quotes as evidence that Goku got stronger.
I think Kyouks thought on this is 8. Goku against Yajirobe is match-use power, and against Tambourine & Piccolo, he is battle-use power.Super Saiyan said:I would give this to Tenshinhan. Yajirobe was just extremely resilient. He wouldn't make two statements about Goku being so powerful (I believe he said that he should try to avoid fighting him) if they were close in power.
