Goku is really only standing around, yet has a yellow aura. So there may be a bit of inconsistency.

Perhaps. I was just thinking the Super Saiyan 1 aura has a bit of inconsistency here and there, but Super Saiyan 2s never have a white aura, even when just standing around.

And they've never not had lightning, several panels being the exception. Point is, lightning is there in every use of SSJ2.

Dosn't make a whole lot of sense considering Vegeta claimed that Teen Gohan SSJ got weaker. The only potential for a rage boost would be in SSJ2 imo.

I never said enraged is Gohan's Super Saiyan 2. Haven't you already seen my explanation in the past?

Full color generally doesn't apply the yellow on Super Saiyan 1, Trunks vs. Future Cell and a few panels of Vegeta in the Cell Games being the exception (as well as the Yakon vs. Goku scene and SSJ Gotenks, though I'm less sure of the latter). It's clear the artists who colored the manga construed Gohan as a super saiyan 1 in both the ship and the time he flipped his lid at Lord Spopovich.
